Very functional sample of the pilot luxury vanishing point
I rated this pen 5 stars because you know what you are getting with this pen. It is a pilot vanishing point “Inspired” pen. The knock mechanism engages well. The nib doesn’t dry out between uses. The nib was a bit dry out of the box but I was able to adjust the nib with a brass shim. The only think I didn’t like about the pen is the placement of the clip. I like that the clip is removable and it doesn’t really get in the way when I write. It just looks really awkward and I cant seem to find a good argument for the clip. It will stick out from your shirt pocket very highly. It will still work well as a roll stop. The only reason I didn’t knock down a star is because you know what you are getting, when you purchase this pen.

Interesting Design with an Awful Clip
There's no two ways about it, this pen is markedly inferior to Mahohn's previous two offerings, their A1 and A2.This is ostensibly a clone of the Pilot Vanishing Point LS, and the novel click-to-extend, twist-to-retract mechanism is faithfully reproduced. This is fun to play with even if it is markedly less practical than a normal click pen especially for manipulating with one hand. This is still possible, but takes a bit more skill. And like the previous Majohn "A" series pens, the nib assembly is mechanically interchangeable with genuine Pilot ones. However, Majohn has for reasons unknown not only failed to faithfully copy the LS clip design as they had done on their previous pens, but apparently also completely forgotten what the clip on a pen is for and how it's supposed to work. The original has the clip located towards the tip extending towards the rear of the pen, which sounds weird but works and keeps the pen carried point-up in your pocket with a minimal amount of it left sticking out. This is just as you would expect. This, on the other hand, has the clip located almost exactly in the middle of the pen's length, so when it's clipped a ridiculous amount of it is left sticking out of your pocket. A significant portion of its mass thus winds up above the hem of your pocket and it wants to tip over all the time. Furthermore, the tip of the clip falls into the groove in the center band around the middle of the pen body which has square sides, and causes it to snag against your shirt fabric badly and makes it very difficult to pull out. To make matters worse there is a rectangular fin molded into the plastic that's supposed to serve as a anti-rotation device for the clip, but which also impinges on the gap between the clip and pen body and makes the snagging issue even worse. There is no way to describe the clip design other than stupid. The clip is fairly easily removed but it's anti-rotation fin is there permanently, I suppose unless you work up the courage to attempt to grind it off. It should have been designed to be located much closer to the nose or the tail of the pen. As it stands now the clip is less than useless.Writing performance is fine, exactly identical to the prior Majohn A1 and A2 which is to be expected because the nib assembly appears to be the same. Only an extra fine nib is on offer for this pen, which may rub Western writers the wrong way. Some other width options would be nice. The nib is very sharp, somewhat scratchy although not unusably so, and very stiff. Its expressiveness and possible stroke width variation is so close as to make no difference to zero.I would recommend an A1 or A2 over this version. There's no contest whatsoever.

Best Majohn vanishing point so far
Really like the diameter of the pen. Nib is extra fine which helps make the ink supply last for weeks. Black and white color scheme really works. I took the clip off fora sleeker look. Nib is wet enough given it's a extra fine. If they ever come out with larger Nib sizes it would be a game changer.

Nice pen and works well
This pen is a knock-off of the VP LS by Pilot/Namiki. Very convenient to write with, since the size of the holding part has smaller diameter compared to LS and there is no clip interfering with the holding. However, the clip (positioned much lower) is extremely tight (hardened steel?) and is very harsh on the pocket.

Lovely pen, horrible nib
The pen itself is awesome. The knock action is much less noisy and easy to work. The girth is nice and wide for my large hands. The clip is moved away from the section and is mounted in the middle of the pen. It is also removable if desired. However, the extra fine nib is so bad it’s unusable. Very scratchy, very dry, and leaks like a sieve. I had to reluctantly return the pen. These nibs for the Majohn A1/2/3 are terrible. Such a shame.

Great Alternative
Great alternative to the more expensive Vanishing Point. Weight and ink flow are great, and I wind up taking this more places than I do my VP. Just as nice looking of a pen and one that'll make me less disappointed if I lose (I'll still be disappointed, I really like this pen).

Looks and feels cheap
Tries to be a copy of the Pilot Vanishing Point LS, which is still patented, but misses the mark. Ugly and awkward, the retracting mechanism is too tight, the clip is from another pen, with a huge, garish logo on the side. But the nib unit is compatible with all the others. Their N1 and N2 models are better, more faithful copies of the VP/Capless, which the patent has expired.
