Hi fellow chef, the slip resistant bottoms are extremely effective. And in the past 25 years, I've tried a myriad type of shoes/clogs and the like, and I'm "sticking" with these crocs. Relatively inexpensive, I highly recommend them. Chef Dave

Q: do these have structured arch support/insoles or is it just mostly flat soft foam inside?

There is a structured arch inside. Its not super big though. I have noticed that when my feet compress the foam, my arch does have support though.

Q: How is the 8d(m) different than the whole sizes available on crocs site? Is it the same?

I think that means that It's an 8 medium. If you have wide feet, either go up a suze or maybe try another type of shoe.

Q: I want to get these from my friend She wears a size 8D in men sneakers should this be fine for her

My husband wears these for work. He wears his regular shoe size.
