I replaced the grates on my grill

These worked perfectly for my smoker.

I was surprised when I picked up the box on my front porch. These grates weigh maybe half of what the original equipment grates weigh. One of the two was markedly warped. When I tried to gently bend the grate (yes, it's thin enough that it can easily flex), it snapped in half.

My Kenmore grill grates were rusted and no longer safe to use, but the unit is too old to easily get replacements. These grates were the right length, but I needed two and these were three that added up to nearly the width that my original two were (I shared a pic of one of my old grates). There is a small gap now, but I don’t mind that at all because the grates are new and perfect. As the weather improves, I’ll be looking forward to using these more and more.

They are flat (no warping) and correctly sized for my grilled as the description claimed. So far so good. This is the third set of grills I've put in my 12 your old grill. These are spot on identical to the previous replacements I put in so I expect them to last 4-5 years until I feel like I should replace them again.

Cast iron grates like these tend to run $35 - 60 in 15 to 17" lengths, so the price on this set fits nicely toward the low end of pricing. As to quality, I was impressed with how smooth the surface was and that there was a complete lack of dust and residue. I washed them anyhow and they did not rust on me, though I do expect, like all cast iron, they will require seasoning and care. They hold heat well and are a huge upgrade from the porcelain/wire grate on my old Dyna Glo, which also uses a 15" length grate, so these were perfect!
