Can a bridge improve tone?
My old bridge broke one Sunday morning as I was getting tuned for playing in church! Fortunately I was able to borrow one. Since I hadn’t had a new bridge for sometime, I decided to see what Amazon had to offer. I took a chance on this bridge, figuring I could get another if necessary. Not only was I pleasantly surprised by the fit, it actually improved my violin’s tone! I did not think that was possible, but my husband (not a strings guy) noticed it immediately. Hard to believe that a bridge could improve resonance, but it seems to. I’m delighted!

Dampened sound
I liked this bridge because it doesn't let the strings sink into it. But, this bridge really dampened the sound of my violin. so I put it on my electric violin instead and this added a whole new level of sound so that.
