Tank like new - Fish much happier
Bought this on the strength of the reviews more in hope than expectations. However it worked like a dream and tucked u years of filth form the gravel bed in the tank. Once the dust settled and the tank was topped up with fresh water to replace what was siphoned out, it was clear the fish were reinvigorated and much happier in their new fresh environment. The goldfish are the guts of 30 years old and look like they'll outlive me at this rate.

Really good siphon hoses pipe is lovely and flexible and long. This small size is perfect for a nano tank.

Very fast suction power.
I use this for my 60 litre tank. I find it hard to get the knack but my partner manages to so it must be just me. It seems to pull up a lot of dirt from the gravel. It sucks up water very quickly so you have to watch the bucket.

PERFECT!
I bought the mini version for my 25litre tank- it's a tall tank so siphoning the gravel isn't easy but it's not that difficult either and I wouldn't swap this size version for a bigger one.Since the tank is on a cabinet and above the bucket I siphon the dirty water into, i put the siphon head into the tank then suck the tube on the other side. as soon as the water starts coming down i put the tube into the bucket- it didn't take me long to get the hang of it.The tubing itself is made from exceptional quality- it's thick and strong. The siphon head doesn't have a lining to stop fish or shrimps getting picked up and trapped, but the 'neck'? of the plastic siphon is incredibly narrow and actually when siphoning the fish don't like to get near me anyway so i'm not worried they'll get hurt. One issue i do have though is if i don't pull the siphon up fast enough and too much gravel gets lifted up, occasionally bits of gravel will get sucked up too far. they then get stuck in the neck part of it and it stops the water flow. I then have to separate the tubing from the siphon head to release the bits of gravel and then reconnect them, and 9/10 times this will mean I have already broken the water flow and have to restart the process. This is my only issue and it's partly due to my own error anyway, so I would still buy it again if I needed to.One question I do have is that some parts of the tubing had originally gone a dark green colour, which I assumed was from me just forgetting to wash the inside with clean water. It now got a few PINK/RED patches, again on the inside, and this time I have no idea what's caused it. I don't have any red tinted plants in the tank. It may be bacteria, I don't know... but it hasn't gone yet. I'm not that bothered by it as I only use the siphon to take dirty water out and not fresh water. This is just something to bare in mind.Python is an exceptional brand and definitely worth the money. The mini version I bought is at a very reasonable price and cheaper than some of the other branded siphons that are also on sale on amazon and are not built nearly as well. This is a simple yet very effective product.

Good product
Very good product for my 30L tank. This is the perfect proportion of suction and amount of water removed, I can remove most of the waste in the gravel without removing more then 10/15% of the total waste, that was exactly my objective. - bit tricky to get started, but with a bit of trial it’s fine. Definitely suggested for tanks of around 30L

Brilliant
I bought this gravel cleaner as a replacement for my old one as it broke. It is a brilliant little sucker! It a has a lot of suction power and is thin enough to get in the little nooks and crannys of the aquarium. It is easy enough to get started, just pop the thin tubing into a bucket, place the gravel cleaner into the aquarium at a horizontal position, let the gravel cleaner fill with water and tilt the gravel cleaner to a vertical position, once the water starts moving down the thin tubing it should start sucking through into your bucket.

Perfect for small tanks
Have kept fish for 15 years, and after taking a break from it, decided to set up a small tank for a siamese fighting fish. All our old syphons were to big for this small tank so bought this one. Great price, much cheaper than our local pet shop and works perfectly. Would recommend if you have a small tank

Very powerful.
With hindsight i should have got a smaller one. This is very powerful and sucks up the gravel too.
