LEGO Minecraft Ideas: With Exclusive Mini Model (Lego Ideas)

Bought as a gift for my son and he loves it. Came with a mini lego set. Nice little book for anyone who loves minecraft

This is the same as any other Lego idea book. It comes with 1 character in the cover and lots of fun ideas in the images, but no build instructions as it is just meant to inspire creativity

My boys from ages 6 to 14- love this book. Not too hard or confusing. They've spent hours building creations from this book.

Everyone loves LEGO, but a lot of times kids can get so focused on just building the sets based on the instructions that the creativity part gets lost in the shuffle and playtime becomes just assembly, after which the bricks end up displayed on a shelf. Minecraft is the exact opposite, which is part of why it's become so globally successful: it's essentially a giant construction set that's constantly in flux with no template or rules, inspiring all sorts of elaborate creations.This book doesn't have the step by step builds that LEGO sets are famous for: instead, it suggests ways to use the everyday LEGO bricks you already have to build favorite scenes from Minecraft. The scenes are faithful to the game and small enough that they should be achievable for builders of different skill levels, but some independent thought and creativity will be needed even if replicating the book designs. This could be frustrating for younger builders or those without a deep well of pieces to use, but for experienced LEGO builders it could be just what they need to toss the rulebook aside and build something new and fun.Of course, like all good toy books, this comes with a few physical parts - a few underwater themed characters. I wouldn't buy the set with them exclusively in mind, but it will help get kids who aren't necessarily always interested in a physical book to open this one up and give it a chance, and I think that's a positive feature.

This is a fun book, looks nice and high quality, would make a great gift for a kid who is into Minecraft and legos.

Thought it would say how to build(like what was needed), but it doesn’t. Just shows fully built pictures, but no how to.
