Beautiful Cat House
After searching for Cat Houses for our group of Feral Cats, we decided on this one. It arrived several days early (that doesn't happen often...), and honestly is way better than I expected. It is solid, well designed/built, and was easily assembled by one person in several hours (the instructions are clear and logical, and they include extra screws). I think it will last for a long time (we have it placed under the garage portico, so it is protected from direct rain - I'm not sure I would leave out in direct rain or snow). A few days after its arrival the Seller contacted me via an Amazon email message to ensure that it had arrived, and that I was completely satisfied. Excellent Customer Service! (Oh btw, the "Smell" other reviewers mention disappears in a couple of days.)

If you follow the instructions this is easy to put together.
We bought two of these, for our indoor/outdoor cat, and one for our strictly outdoor cats. My husband has put one together so far. If you follow the instructions this is easy to put together. It comes with all the hardware and everything is labeled. It took about an hour to put together. Just do it outside, unless you have a wide door to get it outside. It looks to be easy to clean, sturdy. Weatherproof? Well, we shall see? The wood is painted and every bit of the little house looks well made. My husband said it smells like cedarwood. Good size for two cats that get along.

Large enough for multiple large cats
I like this cat house. I have an 18 pound cat and 2 normal sized cats. All three of them can fit comfortably inside. I put a warming blanket in the bottom and two feeding dishes in the upper level. It is quite sturdy but will have to be painted when the weather warms up because the current paint is more of a “wash”. I followed the instructions carefully and didn’t have too much trouble putting this together by myself. So far it seems to be weatherproof against rain and snow. I did have to remove the plastic flaps over the openings because my cats couldn’t figure out how to use the, but the overhang helps to keep the rain/snow out even without the flaps. Some of the wood split when I put the screws in but it doesn’t seem to have effected the integrity of the house, just the aesthetics.

My husband was skeptical
We needed a winter enclosure to help keep one of the neighborhood "single mama" cats and her offspring warm during winter. The house is made of vary durable material and worth the value. The instructions were so simple my 11 year old son put the whole thing together. The two design and quick open roof hatch make it very easy for us to leave food out for the cats. The cats love it and the porch!!!!

Great design
I was surprised how nice it was for around $100. The wood doesn't seem the strongest, but should hopefully hold up for years if tooken care of. The roof is nice like a big solid shingle. It's easy to put together if you know how to use a drill a read picture directions. It took me twice as long to build because I put wood glue on all the major seams that are exposed to the outside because the sides are not held by many screws. Overall I am impressed with this product. We got it for the stray cats living under my woman's broke down car or as she says they're our cats now lol

Nice cat house
Bought this for my backyard boys (1 feral and 1 friendly stray). Straight forward build and seems like decent quality for what it is. Looks great. I gave it a coat of outdoor paint for extra weather protection and to match my house plus built a platform to raise it up off the ground. Cats were leery of it at first so I added two outdoor heating pads, a little straw, and put some treats inside for a few days until they felt comfortable. Now they use it daily. Our feral loves to sleep inside the house and the fluffy stray prefers napping down below but both use it and it gets a lot of "that's so cute" comments from friends.

East to put together.
The cats love it. I have 4 outdoor cats only 2 will sleep in it. The covered balcony is perfect to keep their food dry and away from the dog. The predrilled hole were to deep and hard for the screws to grab into the wood. Super cute design. We will see how it hold up in the snow.

Do not buy this product. The materials are inferior. Assembly is difficult.
First of all, despite what other reviewers have said, this product is NOT easy to put together and the instructions are confusing. Several pieces of the wood came out of the box cracked, split and some with big gouges out of the wood, and in fact a chunk the size of 1" x 2" came apart from the wood and fell out. When I was drilling the screws, some of the wood pieces split. Some of the baggies holding screws had more than the instructions said, and a couple of baggies were missing screws. The paint job was awful, you can see clear through the streaks of paint; the paint was not covering the wood entirely, but rather in streaks and you can see the bare wood.... There must have been a critical piece missing from the "tray" (the floor) as the front side is off the ground, but the backside is not supported by anything and rests directly on the ground. In which case, what is the point of having the footposts to supposedly keep the house floor off the ground? The product claim on the Amazon site is that it is weather proof, but yet in the goofy assembly instructions it says to protect it from the rain and that it should be covered.
