The good it fits the OEM mounting location and is compatible with the factory tailgate reinforcement on the JL. The bad the mount has studs welded into it that are 12mm not 14mm like the factory , they do provide a chrome nut but its not compatible with most wheels that require a tuner lug. I cut the welded studs off , drilled the holes to 14mm and used the OEM stud plate off factory carrier

This carrier has been holding my 35” spare for nearly 6 months and is holding strong with no damage to the stock rear door hinges

I bought this rack for the adjustability because I only needed to raise the wheel 1" and get 2" closer to the tailgate because of my rim offset. The lowest setting was good enough but I could only get it 1" closer with the closest setting.There's no gasket for the mounting points so I used some tape to protect my paint from the metal bracket.There's no place to mount a chmsl so I bought a wheel brake light. This was fine except the lugs are barely long enough to mount the wheel.Otherwise installation was simple and its a solid rack.

If you have stock rims this will not work with the camera, the plastic shield for the camera will NOT fit in the middle of the stock rims. So I had to modify the shield to fit. I will probably be needing extra or replacement parts soon.

Although this item comes with lugs they are smaller that standard JL lugs. This isn't an issue unless you run a tag bracket in your wheel the smaller lugs won't allow for the installation of my tag bracket.
