24volt air conditioner
Fantastic customer service. Nearly identical units are available at dozens of different stores on Amazon, so buy from a seller who provides great service. This particular seller has been absolutely amazing. When I got an error code on the inside unit the seller personally walked me through a few troubleshooting efforts to see if the fix could be something simple, but we determined it was a faulty compressor control panel. Realizing that hot weather was rapidly approaching, the seller sent an entire new replacement AC system and stayed in the constant communication with me until the new one arrived.Install was very easy and looks nice in my 1998 International 9400i. The mounting plywood provided for the inside unit was a little thin, so I used 3/4" plywood and upholstered it with material leftover from another project. I purchased additional rubber isolators and rivet nuts at my local hardware store to mount the outside unit, but the amount of rivet nuts and isolators provided were probably enough to mount it.I powered the air conditioner using 2 group 921 12volt deep cycle batteries connected in series to make a 24volt bank. I used a 200 amp isolator that allows the truck to charge the 24volt bank whenever the truck is running and not pull anything from the starter batteries when the truck is turned off. I also installed a 12v-24v transformer to allow the 12volt truck alternator to fully charge the 24volt bank. Additionally, I installed a 12volt fan connected to a thermocoupler inside the battery box to protect the batteries and all the components from excessive heat.

UNDOCUMENTED FACTORY FAILURE CODE E1 right out of the box and no contact info to support
So installed this unit Sunday, had a A/C shop do the evacuation and charge and right out of the box I get the dreaded E1 that has no documentation and there is NO CONTACT information for this great help and support that is claimed to be offered. Googling the issue shows all sorts of non-related codes and no results for a manufacturer. Amazon does not even have a link for support for this expensive item.So someone posted a hint. The first thing you press is the red-lined button but you have to guess how long to set the right mode. then you press the TEMPERATURE down not voltage down which it the GREEN LINED button but the problem is that the setting of 48 does now show on the display circled in yellow it's just lines. So as many have already commented on reviews and I have found in questions to the seller for information about the lack of support I am looking to find a way to bypass the controls by moving the room temperature sensor that seems to be mounted DIRECTLY to the output fins as it reads the temperature of the fins, not the room in Celsius and no way to change that to Fahrenheit or the pump control so that it is constant on. The unit gets plenty cold when it cycles on for 1 second and then shuts off for 2 seconds. I wonder if an American digital Home Depot thermostat is part of the solution for PROPER temperature readings. I have all the parts to cool just NOT the proper controls to do the job being engineered in China with ZERO flexibility to change settings. And there is ZERO support from either the MFR or AmazonSo watching the very poorly made videos. ONE they do not explain very well the EXACT torque or pounds of R134A to use and the information presented goes by way too fast to follow as I had my evacuation and charge done by a PROFESSIONAL AC person and am getting this E1 error which he had no idea how to fix. Also, the only one video on the undocumented E1 error does not fit the 12V system it was made for the 24V system so my BEST GUESS is to figure out if I can set it to 10V as the voltage at the unit is 13V and 350A charge from the 2 alternators in the Ambulance heavy duty charging system and the unit is still shutting on and off but not beeping when it does since following the misleading reply that was provided with little information. What I did gather was it was a setting and press M to get to it then press the DOWN arrow nothing about a FAN button so will experiment with that before I FIX IT with re-engineering. Why is it that everything I get I have to field repair it instead of it being right form the box? Will let you know my progress. All and all you DO GET everything you need to refrigerate just the function of the unit is questionable. Maybe the manufacturer will reach out with CONTACT information.

Review your system Amp output.
I bought to early wasn't enough info and I have the E-1. The video should tell you the difference the number makes for a 24 volt (20U) and a 12 volt (10U) that are different. But I am still working on. Maybe I can update with a positive note.

The unit did not fit because of modifications on our truck
We bought this unit and realized it didn’t fit on our truck. We contacted costumer service and they were amazing in resolving our issue. They got in contact with us almost right away and were very understanding.
