Started out great BUTâŚUPDATED.
UPDATE:4 stars for customer service! Vovatu customer service is great! Within a day they saw my review and sent me a new one. Didnât get as many rounds down the pipe since I purchased a Holosun but it did great while it was up there!Bought this sight for my Hellcat around October and started out great! When only shot around 50 rds the first few times at the range, it did the job. Iâve been shooting around 400-500 rds a couple times a week now and itâs giving out. The rubber control cover popped off and now I can't adjust the brightness (see picture). The dot will randomly disappear after a shot then magically reappear after the next with an almost spiderweb pattern then return to normal after a few more shots, then disappear again. Thought it might be the battery but changed it out and did the same thing. Something about the action of the gun must be throwing the electronics off. Budget RDS are hit or miss but Iâm gonna try a few of them and see if they can handle the abuse.

Surprised.
I was surprised. Feels like a solid product. Looks good too. Keeps zero even after racking with it. Love the reticle. Funny name though.

Surprisingly reliable, easy to acquire, and holds zero (9mm).
Brilliant little RDS. Purchased out of sheer curiosity, have not been disappointed. IT DOES NOT SHAKE AWAKE as advertised, but as long as you overlook this it's a solid piece of kit. Dot is easy to see, has multiple brightness settings from "I can barely see it in the dark" to "holy cow that's bright in broad daylight". Holds zero over 1000s of rounds of 9mm. Battery lasts a loooooooooooooooooooooong time. Rugged aluminum housing, clear glass. Just remember to turn it on and turn it off if left for extended periods. Bought another one to see if this one was a fluke, same experience. Not disappointed at the price-point. Offer anyone who wants to trash this as cheap Chinesium a hammer to go pound their junk flat first and then offer them this to try for themselves. They haven't and should.

Votatu Who? - Sold!
I recently purchased a new pistol (Sig Sauer P365 X Macro) and wanting to avoid cannibalizing my existing red dot sight from my Springfield Hellcat RDP, onto Amazon I went in search of a quality reflex sight hoping to avoid spending a lot of money. I came across the Votatu PD505, read the reviews, looked at the price, and was skeptical. I spent some time watching and reading external reviews of the sight, all of which were incredibly positive. So, I purchased it, and I sure am glad I did.At both an indoor range and on my large mountain property, the sight performed perfectly. I zeroed it quickly at 14 meters (don't ask about the 14, it's just a thing I do), then ran over 200 rounds through it. It held my zero perfectly, was incredibly easy to acquire both indoors and outdoors, owing to the large lens (for an RMS/c footprint), and thanks to the aluminum construction, I didn't feel the need to be careful with it outdoors. The side-mounted battery tray is a wonderful feature that while becoming more common these days, is still not ubiquitous. One thing I really love is the audible clicks when dialing in elevation and windage; you can feel each twist and know you're adjusting the MOA. I've owned other micro-dot sights that use an hex key to adjust for these variables and with those there's no indicator of adjustment that you can feel or hear - something I find incredibly disappointing with those sights. I've also struggled with quickly acquiring other RMS/c reflex sights, again owing to their often small lens. I was incredibly pleasantly surprised about how quickly I could train this sight on a target and squeeze off rounds. The shake awake feature has so far operated without fail - it's quick and reliable. I purchased this particular model for the option of choosing from three different reticles, though so far I've used only the single dot. Finally, I'm grateful that this sight doesn't have an auto-dimming feature; in my experience I've found that feature on other sights to be troublesome. All that written, here's my bottom line. Yes, it's another Chinese-made piece of firearms tech, but man, for the price (I nabbed it on sale for $134), I believe this is the sight to beat. It's feature packed, durably made, reliable, and incredibly easy to use.

Dead Right Out of the Box
It was dead out of the box. The box was sealed and it didn't appear to have been opened prior to delivery. It would not turn on and I even looked over the instructions to make sure I was turning it on correctly. I changed the battery to the spare that came with the unit and it still would not turn on. I verified that both batteries were a little above 3V DC each. The unit was dead. I own one other red dot from the same brand that works well so far, but it's still relatively new and it's a larger RMR footprint. I won't purchase another from this company.

Excellent value and performance
This micro dot is excellent! It has held zero when other budget dots have failed on me and continues to work despite taking a few falls. The ring dot reticle makes for really quick target acquisition at close range while still allowing for precision shots further out. The auto shut off and shake to wake features are great and work well, especially for people like me who forget to turn off their optics at the end of the day.

So far so good
Use this with my Glock 19 GEN five probably went through 500 rounds. Still holds decent zero.
