I’ve found this antenna works extremely well for me.In areas where the stock antenna was not getting into the repeater I can now work with a full quieting of the repeater with ease.I will purchase another one.I’m one happy owner.

With the telescoping antenna, you can adjust the length to get the best SWR match.Almost fully extended I get the best 2 meter match at 1:1. This thing kicks out. I have a clock radio that the speaker buzzes from the RF if I'm in the same room and key the radio (a BaoFeng UV-5R nontheless). No stock antenna has ever done that.The 70cm band requires some more finaggling to get the swr to play well under 2:1.It does work for 70cm, but I haven't found the sweet spot that allows me to get the setting right without putting it on an antenna analyzer first to dial in the perfect SWR.That small antenna that came in the package? I find it does nada. at least 5:1 swr on both bands, it's obviously untunable as it can't change size without physically cutting it.All in all, this is a great antenna if you live on the fringe of 2 meter repeater coverage. This antenna will work great for storm spotting where I presently live.

The top part of the antenna dislodged in first use. In addition, according to NanoVNA frequency range of this antenna far above the ham bands. Lowest VSWR is around 156 Mhz in 2-meter and 450 Mhz in 70-cm bands.
