My New Favorite Keyboard
I type very well on this keyboard.I'm not sure if it is the low typing effort, or attractive and VERY quiet pitter-patter sound it makes when typing, but it has very quickly become my favorite mechanical keyboard of the four I own. I own an older Corsair gaming keyboard with red-like proprietary switches, A Rosewill with Cherry Brown switches, a bronze Cherry keyboard with MX2A Brown switches, and now this keyboard. I thought I liked more clicky switches over the linear options, but this keyboard has changed my mind. My son is not so secretively jealous of my keyboard. I'm ok with that. The software was easy to setup, and the lighting was easy to configure and looks great. The rolling controller at the top right works well for a variety of functions. I love that I have 3 connectivity options: wired, 2.4Ghz (with a place to stow the transmitter), and Bluetooth. I'm not a fan of the lag with the Bluetooth, but that is not specific to this keyboard. The other options work well for me.The layout has taken a bit of getting used to. I quite like that the keyboard is smaller overall, and it feels quite solid for a plastic-bodied keyboard. The arrow keys and numeric keypad seem easy enough to adjust to. I'm having problems with the delete key. I keep expecting it to be somewhere else as I'm used to full sized keyboards. I'm sure over time I'll adjust. The biggest problem I have: I am sharing this keyboard between a personal desktop and a work laptop, and I really just want two of them. First world problems.Pick one up. I don't think you'll regret it.

Fantastic release from CM
For context, I'm a big keyboard enthusiast. Everything from soldering to modding chassis. even just trying as many switches as I can get my hands on. I love everything about keyboards. The feel, the acoustics, the features. Love it all. My daily driver is a Q5 with the usual mods, cream black pros and PBT keycaps in SA profile.Cooler Master is a very special brand to me. My first system was built in a 932. I've used their cooling solutions. I've used their peripherals under the CM Storm branding. Even though I have a "final" build, I still shop around for new keyboards to see how big brands approach new releases. So here I am writing a review of the 770.To clarify, I had already purchase two 720's previously. I had no 60%'s yet at that time, and I wasn't terribly interested in putting a ton of effort into a custom 60% build. Bought them on sale (25% off was a steal) and low-and-behold..They sound and feel AMAZING. Amazing acoustics out of the box? Simple tear-down steps? wobble nonexistent? The only con I really had was no wireless or bluetooth, and no numpad means I cant use it for work.Man.. if only they just released this board in an 80%+ format with some wireless options?....Cooler Master batted one out of the park here. It's remarkable how cheap this is for the amount of polish and quality you get. Mechanical keyboards have come a long way from soldered-on switches and cheap ABS keycaps that shine over within a few months. This is about as high quality of a board that you are going to get in this price range.

Great feel!
It's quite heavy for a keyboard, but who carries these things around? I love the feel of the keys and the color customization is neat. It took me two weeks to warm up to it, since the keys seem smaller/closer together. The lack of a dedicated PRT SCRN key was disappointing but it was easy enough to program another key to do that. Better than my Razer and DAS keyboards.

Don't.
I love the feel and sound but the Ctrl button often gets stuck and it seems like the keys don't always register during typing.Cooler Master's customer service has been amazing. However- I received an RMA replacement and the ENTER key on my replacement keyboard has completely stopped responding. 🥲 I'm doing a second RMA return but at this point I'm pretty much over it. Which is a real shame because other than this major issue I absolutely love this keyboard.
