This is a nice set of three insulated serving pots for keeping foods hot or cold. The pots have an old-fashioned design, one that seems suited to the middle of the last century. For some reason I find that design comforting and homey. The pots, however, are clearly modern with double-walled stainless steel lining that significantly helps maintain temperature of prepared foods. There are three different sizes in the lot: 1 litre, 1.6 litre and 2.5 litres. The pots on the outside are a type of synthetic material--plastic?--that definitely is NOT appropriate for putting in an oven. I also wouldn't place them in a dishwasher, since they seem structured much like a thermos, and that might cause the stainless steel lining to leak over time. That said, these pots are perfect for carrying to family gatherings and potlucks. Recommended.
