Transfer Switch
I was looking for a simple, manual switch I could change between line power and generator power that would not back feed through the mainline in case of a power outage. This switch fit the bill. It was super easy to wire in, safe, and the switch functions easy. Best of all it was affordable. The size was a bit big but that’s alright.

Decent
Not UL certified. Would not recommend in a inspected install and not sure I would trust this to be disconnected under load. I am using in a off grid setting to transfer between inverter and generator. But I transfer my connection with no load for safety. The knock outs are not scored very good. You will fight to get them out. Prolly better to use hole saw or slug buster.

Works but...
This 100A Generator Transfer Switch does the job it was designed to do, but honestly, I am not overly impressed by it. There are a couple of issues that I think need attention before I can honestly say it is a 5 star product in my mind. The first has to with the insulation on the handle on the inside. I know that it is designed not to touch any live connections directly with metal and that they have put a plastic sleeve bent in half over the switch; however, that does not give me much security. I think it would be better if it had a rubberized coating covering the whole bar. The other issue that I take is probably the most important to me is that it does not have any safety certifications on it. If a fire started with this box, I would be concerned that my insurance company would look for that as an excuse not to cover the damage. I have heard of insurance companies doing this and would rather spend a little extra money to have peace of mind. Having the certifications you at least know a company’s reputation is associated with its quality.
