I like everything about these filters. They really do filter out the taste of less than perfect quality water, as well as small impurities. And leaves the filtered water crystal clear and tasting good. I prefer these white Sterasyl filters, they are easier to clean so you can prolong the life of them than the black Berkey type filters. Much easier to start with new filters, less hassle with priming them.

We've used these for quite a while and they work perfectly.

Great quality filters. Use our filter system at our cabin. It takes out the iron in our cabin water. Easily cleaned with a scrubby. Iron ppm is very high and plugs the filters quickly turning them red. But have overcome this problem by taking the filter container and place it under a running cold water tap without dismantling the filters. We do this after every filled container. iron rinses off the filters and cleaning is major reduced in frequency.Be sure to discard first liter of water when used for first time and after being stored for awhile. If do not do this it will taste terrible but is great after that first flush.When taking water from a lake or river we pre-filter the water through a mesh screen to get rid of tiny debris that will clog filters and cause odors.

Had these filters for about 2 weeks as a cheaper replacement, I put blue food colouring in the water tank for the test,was a dark blue,it came out filtered with a noticeable light blue tinge,I don't think they'd filter fluoride,if you have reasonably clean water their ok, if your water is bad I think you'd probably be better of with the more expensive big name brands.

Love these, made in UK! Yes ! Glorious it's not made in China.They filter very good and you can clean them. You can wash them several times before they need to be replaced.Just take a sponge and wipe down the outside and rinse off.
