Starry Messenger: Galileo Galilei

Peter Sis with his education in art and his development of his writing abilities has produced a wonderful book on Galilei which is immediately accessible to the young.Writers as Sis are an essential ingredient to inspire the young towards a learning which at first may seem to be complicated and inaccessible.

Peter Sis's illustrations are rich in small and delightful details. As the story unfolds the themes in the imagery recur so the whole folds in upon itself.This is book is a gem for children and adults.I just bought it for my 75 year old mother.

Beautiful illustrations - a wonderful book which could be enjoyed in different ways by children of all ages.

This is a children's book about Galilei, not the actual "Starry Messenger" book by Galilei himself. Considering you really have to read ALL the information about this item before figuring this out, this borders on misrepresentation and I award the item with 1 star.As a children's book in itself, the book is mediocre. Firstly it's not thorough enough, secondly the illustrations aren't really that great.

thought it was the actual book Galileo wrote...or perhaps have some parts of it.....but alas, it is a children's book about him....
