My Mic Audio Didn’t Come Through

I ordered this chat link cable hoping it would work with my PS3 and OBS so that I could hear what the game while recording. It worked in letting me hear the gameplay audio as I was recording, but it also seemed to cause a lot of issues while recording. The audio stopped being recorded from the PS3, but I could hear the gamplay. I don't know if it's the capture card itself or the cable, but either way, the quality of the audio from the cable had a lot of static. It was like trying to listen to the radio with a bad antenna connection, where more audio let to more static. I don't know if I'm using it wrong or something, but it didn't work for what I needed it, so it's going to the recycling bin for me.

I frequently replace my chat link cables, so I was looking for replacement options. I like the braided cable on this and the length is nice! It feels solid and sturdy. My only issue is that my friends can't hear me when we're playing together, so I can only use it for single-player games where I'm not talking to anyone. It's a shame, but if you don't have that issue, I recommend it!

This did work, audio comes through clearly, yet due to the fact there is a little magnet compared to most chatlink cables, you WILL notice a constant buzz on all game audio from a PS5.I found a remedy to this, which is due to using my controller wired instead of Bluetooth. To fix the buzz you would need to unplug your cable from your PS5 controller and use it VIA Bluetooth.Is it worth 🤔 what you pay, yes, does it function yes, but it does not perform to the extent you would get with a higher priced cable that has a larger magnet at the Y in order to eliminate this.

The cable overall is very finicky and doesn't work well with my PS5 and my PC with an NZXT HD60. I also noticed the left and right channels are swapped.

I could not get this cable to work with my headset. The build quality seems fine, but I could not get the microphone to pass through the audio. When trying to use this with my HD60, the sound came through, but not the microphone and the left and right channels were swapped. I can correct this in my capture software, but not in my headphones.

I tried to use this between my nintendo switch and my elgato HD60X and it did not work. I knew it was a longshot since the switch's audio cannot be captured if the headphone jack is in use, but I was willing to try.Since it did not work, I plugged it into other things, since what I tried was not its intended purpose. That's when I realized the audio channels are flipped. Audio from the right side of the ear was going into the left and vice versa.Just save a bit more money and get the official elgato chatlink cable, this thing is a total waste.
