These would work well for all sorts of purposes. But I had a project where I needed to alternate the poles on the layout of the magnets. The poles are on the faces of these magnets, not the ends. That seems to be the standard on magnets now. Used the be the ends, for bar magnets anyway. The metal piece that these magnets are mounted in seem to shield the magnetic field of that side, so alternating poles doesn't work very well.

These magnets are quite strong as advertised. However, they are very brittle. If the mounting screws are too tight, the magnet can shatter. Additionally, if you let the magnet forcefully attach itself to an object, the magnet can shatter.This type of magnet is prone to brittleness. I would say the issue does not reflect the manufacture. Just an issue of the product by nature.

These magnets are strong beyond strong, it was difficult to separate them when the plastic spacers came out. Very good buy.

They break so easily, even if it’s not another magnet hitting it.Not sure what these could be used for but good luck!

Every single one I installed broke / fractured when installing the screws. I only used a stubby screwdriver to install/tighten, and the magnet wasn't even fully seated against the material. Huge waste of money. Regarding hold, it took 6 bars to hold up a small 3 drill holder under a cabinet.

These magnets are super strong and hardly weigh anything. They provide powerful strength and I know I will get many years useage out of them. Good size, and made extremely well

Like others have mentioned, very strong but easily crack.
