Good for mailing one bare naked disc, but it's flimsy.
This mailer is just enough to mail a 12cm disc (CD or DVD) by itself, without jewel case or any envelope. The weight of this mailer itself is about 15g. With a typical disc (about 15g), it slightly exceeds 28.35g or 1 ounce weight. So, unless you use a particularly lightweight disc, the postage will be $0.81 for US domestic first class, which consists of $0.61 postage for up to 2 ounces plus $0.20 non-machinable surcharge (this is rigid and square, so you definitely need the extra 20 cents).I initially thought that the mailer might be made lightweight to fit in one ounce line with one disc, to save the postage. It isn't so. The postage will be the same with mailers made with more rigid cardboard stock. The mailer's cardboard stock is rather thin and flimsy. Based on my experience with similar mailers I used, I expect a few percents of the discs to be delivered cracked. I wouldn't mail anything but easily duplicatable material in this mailer. In fairness, USPS used to be much better in terms of delivering discs undamaged. A few years ago, I saw a sharp increase in the chance of discs delivered damaged. Maybe this mailer would have done fine before that time...This mailer does not have any printing. No lines, no "FIRST CLASS" or anything. This, I think is a good thing.

Cheap but functional
Good price. Much less expensive than what I've been using. I send out 300-400 CD's per year, so the savings really adds up.Not the heaviest-cardboard mailers I've used, but adequate to get the job done.Self-stick flap seals adequately, although I always back it up with a "Do Not Bend" sticker across the joint.Came bundled in plastic sealed packages of 25 each, making it easy to keep track of how many I have left.Rating would be 5-stars if the cardboard was a little bit heavier, and if I didn't have to occasionally break the glue loose inside to fit the CD into the mailer. But overall I'm satisfied with them.

DVD Mailer
The mailers arrived quickly [which was great!] The quality was very good - very sturdy - looks like it would stand up to USPS handling. Dissappointed with the size - wasn't enough room to put DVD in a protective sleeve, then into the mailer. Had to ship w/o protective sleeves. Everyone I talked to stated the DVD arrived in perfect condition. Bottom line: They are inexpensive and worked very well.

Very Good Product
We made copies on DVD of home movies from a family reunion to send to all our relatives all scattered across the country.. We mailed 73 of them. All of them arrived safe and unbroken. They are so strong and nicely made. Very easy for the person getting it in the mail to open with the strip you just tear across and keeps the envelope very neat and a great storage case for the future. As of the end of 2013, the postage cost 66 cents to mail each one First Class USPS.

These work well for my unusual use.
These cardboard mailers are perfect for what I use them for which is rather unusual. I mail old CD's to my son when I am on vacation and stick a five or ten in there for him to have some spending money. The CD and cardboard mailer disguise the fact that I am mailing cash. Works for me!

Pay attention to size
These are great and as described. Here is the deal, if you want to send a CD without any kind of sleeve, this is what you want. If you want to send a CD that you have placed in a sleeve, then buy the next bigger size. I can get my CD in this, but not when I place it in a sleeve. The item is nice and as described. I was very pleased with the mailers for the price.

was very nice!
these are the exact ones I have been buying at Staples for almost a dollar each! I got 100 of them for around $30, even with shipping. I use these mailers all the time to mail DVDs to clients, and the postage is only 70 cents, much cheaper than mailing the DVD in a case with bubble wrap, etc. I have never had them damaged when mailing in these mailers. They can actually be used as the dvd/cd case by person receiving them.
