So I gained some 10 pounds because of my sedentary lifestyle and overeating habits because of stress and anxiety. Two months ago I tried a japanese product that contains Gymnema that is supposed to end cravings. It had no effects. I've been experiencing headaches after eating too much carbs and irritability also. But after drinking the gynostemma tea I've no more sugar headaches which is awesome. I've only been taking it for 2 weeks 1 cup per day so I can't mention lose weight effects. But so far is great. I feel it's cleaning my liver. No side effects.

When I take this Gynostemma powder (diluted in some hot water - like a tea), I feel calmer and well-balanced. This effect is not very strong, but it is noticeable and appreciated.

I've bought this several times before and have been taking it for many years. This is in my opinion and experience the best value for the money. The taste is light and earthy.

Not pure jiagulan, it has dextrin in the ingredients, a starch used to make more volume, no wonder the price is so good in compare with other brands, and it doesnt say the percentage used, it could be 50% of the bag, anyway is my fault for not looking at the ingredients before buying, if you dont care about ingesting dextrin the product is ok

This Gynostemma/Jiaogulan extract has a disctinct burnt smell to it and it's a light tan color. It tastes extremely bitter and herbal. Bitter herbs are generally very beneficial for your digestive system. I have the actual dried herb which is too disgusting for me to drink (it tastes sickly sweet and bitter)- I used to grind it up with a mortar and pestle and encapsulate it in gel caps.Jiaogulan has definite health benefits, including increasing energy, mood, motivation, and immune health. It lowers cholesterol and blood pressure and has antioxidant and anti-aging properties. As an adaptogen, it helps your body adapt to stress, mainly by supporting the production of stress-related neurotransmitters and hormones. I am in love with all adaptogenic herbs- they've allowed me to become functional again from my debilitating chronic pain illnesses. Jiaogulan is a zippy adaptogen so be careful if you struggle with severe anxiety.If you're giving this product a bad review simply because it tastes and smells bad, sorry, this is a pure herbal extract that's not meant to please your taste buds. If you're purchasing medicinal powders just for their taste, then you're going to be out of luck.The quality of this extract powder is fairly good. I can tell that it's quite potent, and although I'd prefer an organic extract, this is a product I would recommend to those who are looking for help with issues like fatigue and mental fog, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, high cholesterol, chronic stress, chronic pain, depression, etc.Try it. But I strongly recommend that you put this powder into gelcaps so you can take it easily. Just be warned. It doesn't taste pleasant and I promise you it's not supposed to.Also, Bulk Supplements continues to bag their supplements in a poor way, despite endless complaints- the powder gets caught into the little crevices, making it difficult or impossible to reseal each bag. Take something sharp like a toothpick to loosen the powder from the thin crevices and your bag will close more efficiently.In my last photos, I was formulating my recent health supplement capsules which contain ginseng root extract, eleuthero extract, organic cordyceps extract and this jiaogulan extract. It's fantastic and energy boosting. ♡

Just got product today. Easy to use. Only problem i have is that the bag does not reseal. This is not the only one. Every other time order these products the bags will not reseal. Its like a 50/50 on closing. Seem to have to have zip lock bags on hand to ensure not to waste it. The powder is very fine so easy to lose. Please fine away to fix this.. Love the products. It just sucks needing to buy outside bags to save product that made to reseal.
