it’s a beautiful pen, but I was having trouble writing with it using India ink, and bleed proof white. I even tried filing the tip a bit with a nail file, which worked a bit but would skip. I contacted the seller and got an immediate response, plus instructions to use different inks and techniques on holding the pen (this is my first glass pen.) Customer service was very helpful and considerate, even offered to replace the pen. I started using watercolor paint and it writes smoothly! (Not sure if filing the tip did anything)I’m a beginner and don’t have a frame of reference, so not sure if there’s any prep I was suppose to do before using the pen, but 4 stars because I was hoping it to work the first time.

This glass pen is stunning. The craftsmanship is incredible. It writes fluidly and easily and my penmanship improves when I use this pen. I often get hand cramps when I write from over tightening my grip but when I have this stunning piece of work in my hands I have no problems keeping my grip loose making for a much more comfortable writing experience. I have bought several of these since in a shop I found that all work just as amazingly but none of them are as beautiful as this one.

I ordered, it shipped, then it arrived on time! Perfectly average transaction.The tip istelf is kind of curved, not straight, no the ink doesnt quite flow as good as it should. Artifact of being hand made i suppose...

The glass dip pen is a beautiful utensil for calligraphy. It is well balanced and has a strong, fine tip-- perfect for small lines and curves. The tip is easy to clean and the entire piece looks ornamental as decoration on the desktop. Great grip and easy to hold. Beautiful color and design, perfect gift for all occasions

I gave it 5 stars simply because it was packaged well enough to arrive without being broken. Other than that, all the glass pens I've owned have all performed nearly identically - including this one.

I don't think I'll use the heart "tip holder" charm for that purpose - it is pretty enough and the right size to serve as a pendant or light-catcher. The pen itself was carefully packaged and arrived in perfect shape. Beautiful glasswork.

I love this pen! It's so beautiful and holds a surprisingly large amount of ink. I've tried it with black sumi ink and a thin shimmer ink so far and it worked really well with both.
