It is a set of left and right wrist guards.

Q: What is the recommended sizing for these?

Follow the sizing from the Derby website that is what I did and it fit perfectly. They will be a bit tight in the beginning but they will break in and fit great.

Q: I’m doing Nordic skating with poles, would these make it awkward to grip the poles?

I would say yes, it would be uncomfortable. You probably could grip them but you are limiTed because of the hard plastic covering your palm/wrist area.
