daughter started reading this at 5 and just turned 6 and she loves the stories! perfect beginner chapter books for little ones! Words are not too small to read and the stories are engaging AKA "can't put down the book" kind of engaging for my daughter. Plus, the characters are well mannered, shows love for animals and the stories do not really have a "meanness" or "attitude" in their plots. highly recommended!

Grandchildren enjoyed this book, nice to have more then one story so less clutter.

These are great first chapter books. My daughter is a struggling reader and these are simple enough that she can read them, have plenty of pictures, and nice stories about animals. They give her confidence because she is reading real chapter books. Highly recommend.

These are some of my granddaughter's favorite characters to read about. She has several of these and is alwaysExcited to get a new one.

I just got this delivered today and found the front cover with a cut on the top! The book is fine but not the cover so im not pleased. I didnt know how to send a message to the seller so thats why im leaving this message here.

What a great set of stories for young kids. I bought this set to read to my daughter in kindergarten and for her to read to herself when she is in Grade 1 or 2. While the book is obviously oriented to girls (only girl characters) I could also see boys enjoying this if they are really interested in animals. So far we have read the first story which sees the beginning of the Critter Club and animal rescue that the girls create. The characters are good role models and there is an absence of snarkiness/attitude that many stories add for humour. Instead the stories focus on friendship and problem solving which the girls do so with admirable independence that is still believable for their ages. The first story was delivered as a mystery and it will be interesting to see if the other stories follow this as well. I purchased this 3-1 for $10.41 which is a great deal when each of the books cost $6-7 each. I also purchased the next 3 books, also in a 3 in 1, for $9.85. Thanks Amazon for such a great deal!
