This Minolta camera is lightweight enough to carry on adventures when you want greater than cell phone pics yet not quite pro level (and ultra heavy) equipment.The only downside is that it requires 4 AA batteries instead of utilizing rechargeables. A minor detail but one worth considering if exploring camera options. With a generous 20 MP size and quite a few shooting options for a variety of settings, the quality of the photos are great!

I ordered this because I'm tired of everyone making me take pictures or taking my Samsung to take pictures. That said this arrived as described and on time. What appealed to me when ordering it was the abaility to take 20mp photos.Upon opening the box you are greeted with everything you need to start using right out of the box which I appreciate. I'll admit this is my first ever Minolta product and I was genuinely surprised.Conversely, this is battery operated by 4AA batteries. I wish it would have had a rechargeable battery because the minute you open it to change the battery or remove the card the date and time are reset.The camera is light and feels a bit flimsy. The material used for it is nothing to be desired. Especially after noticing the dust left on it from my hands. Mind you I wasn't outside working on anything I was just unboxing items.Moving on to its controls, you have your typical controls for settings, a power on/off button and your menu. Going through the menu is easy and straight forward.As for the pictures, I'm not an avid photographer most if not all of my photos are shot from my Samsung S23 or previous notes so my comparison is to everyone else's IPhone photos which pale in comparison.Keeping that in mind, I found the quality of the pictures and it's resolution to be as good as my current phone. It has a 20x zoom which performs well. The flash is not automatic, just lift it and it becomes accessible.Overall it's a good little camera, especially if you are looking to use something other than your phone. That said I liken this to more of an intermediate level.I'm pleased with it and recommend it.

This review is for the Minolta 20 megapixel, 26x optical zoom digital camera. It will also shoot video at 1080p. While the specs don't necessarily exceed those of the latest phone cameras. The feel is much more natural for shooting pics with this vs holding up a phone - especially for anyone familiar with DSLR cameras. The picture quality is a bit better than typical phone pics. However, it has primarily automated settings or I should say it is built for the purpose of using the various types of photo shooting automation that's typically included with cameras in this price range. This is in contrast with the Nikons et al at 10x the cost which allow you to tweak every setting on a manual basis for complete control of the photo taking experience which professional photographers almost always prefer. This camera is not that and should be use for what it was designed for. For automated photo shooting I give this my recommendation.

I have missed having a camera for use my phone for pretty much everything but doesn't take photos near as beautiful quality. Came across this Minolta and it is perfect resolution for capturing life's special moments.This camera is user friendly with clear instructions and simply to operate. Weighs 1.6 lbs which is easy to hold in hand for steady focus. Uses an SD card easy to pop out and download to computer and even file away for memory storage of life moments, vacations, or every day memories. The display screen on the camera is 3 inches LCD providing ample view. The camera does require batteries which I prefer over charging in case I forget to charge - can always put extra batteries into my camera bag. Even has WiFi capabilities!The camera has additional features such as stabilization when shaking is detected to get a clear shot without impact to shaking. Even has 13 modes for various setting types to ensure best setting for type of photo wanting to take. The camera detects smiles, faces, and even blink detection!Can take close up or long distance photos both have beautiful resolution producing reliable and high quality photos! Highly Recommend! Outstanding camera!
