This was bought for my LG G3 52" TV which is located in my lounge cinema room where we watch TV in the dark. Th original remote supplied with the TV was impossible to see and operate in this environment as it is difficult to identify what button does what, relying upon memory for each buttons position and use isnt the most reliable way of operation, often irritatingly spoiling our viewing pleasure when the incorrect button is pressed...Arrrgghhhhh!Additionally, this "New Generation" remote is a retrograde step as the media play and pause buttons (which are the most frequently used) are no longer there....WHY? it doesn't make any sense at all.This remote solves both of these issues by having our beloved media control buttons, AND illuminates the buttons, so now easy to use in a darkened room.....result!It functions exactly the same as the original and paired to the TV without drama within seconds.It has worked faultlessly over the last few weeks, so has been a worthwhile purchase for us. Why LG do not ship this high-end TV with an illuminated remote is beyond belief.Good value, to me, at £23.39. I recommend it.

Buttons jamming down

The good thing is it lights up which is great as I can now see the buttons when I am watching the tv in the dark. One annoying issue is it seems to be a little slow in sending the command to the tv when you click a button so if you are clicking through screens it can end up with you stopping on the page you want but then another click or two takes you further.This can be fixed by not clicking so fastThe other attribute is it is less solid than the original LG remote so feels a bit cheap. However I would recommend it as it does the job.

Bought this for my mother as it is illuminated and the standard remote is hard for her to see in low light. It is nice and bright and works with with even more functionality. Highly recommended.

Husband has bought two of these this week and both remotes sent were not backlit and looked identical to the official LG one which came with the tv. Returning for refunds as the point in purchasing was for the backlight functionality. We thought maybe the wrong one had been sent initially but the second was the exact same. Unsure what the issue is as other reviewers have posted pictures which show the backlit buttons. See photo, two on left are this item, one on right is official LG. Literally no difference other than the logo and no backlit whatsoever.

Great replacable remote control which works super with my lg tv.Easy to connect it and easy to use it.Great size, comfy to hold it.Price for it I think is great.So surely can recommend it to all.

The media could not be loaded. This remote was so easy to connect to my TV. It paired within seconds. It feels nice to hold and doesn't feel cheap. I like the fact the keypad lights up making it great to see in the dimly lit bedroom.
