I love the colorful prints on these covers, right down to the rainbow horses. The stretch material fits nicely around the edges of my hardcovers and from the outside, everything looks smooth.However, depending on the width of the book, when you put the cover on, you may have surplus cover material inside. This prevents the book from closing all the way. The danger of an obstruction like that is you might bend or break the hardcover if you accidentally press the cover down flat in your book bag. Since I have enough covers to spare, I might try cutting the material down inside so that it fits the book more perfectly, when needed.

These are perfect for my daughter's school books and look very nice. The price is right and the patterns are vibrant and clear

I purchased these specifically to help protect some of the special edition hardcover novels in my collection while reading. Unfortunately, they just didn't work. My novels are standard hardback size, but despite being advertised for that size, they didn't fit. You can see in my first image that the cover is too small even before I put it on my book. The entry slip is a small circle in the center of the fabric cover, which (a) makes it hard to put on the book since you have to bend the front and back cover so much that it may actually damage your book and (b) once you do get the cover on, it creates an extra fabric at the top and bottom that makes actually opening and reading from the book nearly impossible (see second and third pictures). I even tried them with a few of my paperbacks, but they somehow fit even worse on those.Overall, there may be some sort of book that this would work on, but I don't have a single one on any of my three bookshelves. On the bright side, they are really pretty, so I'll give it a star for that.
