Q: How much weight can a queen size hold?

We have been having this bed 2019. We weigh around 530 lbs. together and it is still standing/leaning. The bolts that holds it together are stripped and some are missing that came out on their own. I will say that this bed has lasted longer than my last 2 bed frames.

Q: Are you able to attach a headboard with round legs?

I tried to attach a headboard but the holes did not line up, the frame legs would have been off the floor. Also, the bolts at the end of the frame stick out too far for the frame to be bolted properly. I'm searching for a headboard that will fit on the inside of those bolts and holes that line up. Otherwise, I'm happy with the frame.

Q: Does the bed stay on well without any guides?

All the Queen beds list at 80".

Q: Can anyone recommend which brackets to buy to add a headboard?

It depends on the type of headboard you want to install. I have beautiful antique headboard & footboard which I no way would like to throw away. The boards come with slots at either end. There are pins at each end of groove or slot. The hardware is like prongs or teeth that rest on the pins that are embedded in the groove by the manufacturer of head and footboards. If you have such headboard than the best hardware is Ronan Factory.
