Endless possibilities - a great, well-built device for streamers, gamers and everyone else
The media could not be loaded. This is superb, and it just works. That is, once you fathom all of the ports and cables. This is an impressive, versatile dock, particularly well-suited for mobile recording and gaming setups. I’ve been using it with my mobile phone, and its ability to record without the need for a PC is great, although I wouldn’t personally need that part. For those who prefer a more traditional way of setting up, it will also record via a PC, although I did notice some minor stuttering when transitioning during PC recording. I did wonder if this could be due to my PC’s configuration and performance rather than the dock itself, although my PC is quite a decent machine, even though it is a mini PC.One of its standout features is the variety of ports it offers. It comes with an HDMI output that supports 4K@60Hz, providing crystal-clear video capture. It has USB ports to connect peripherals like keyboards and mice. The build quality is solid, and it’s compact enough to be very portable. It certainly is more than a Steam Deck.A minor downside is with the included instructions; they weren’t particularly helpful. Accessing the necessary software for video capture required downloading it from the AVerMedia website, but this wasn’t clearly explained in the documentation. Once set up, though, the docking station updated its firmware and the software worked quite well. This dock is compatible with loads of devices, not just the Steam Deck, including the Nintendo Switch, iPhone, iPad, and my good old Android devices. It’s a versatile tool for both gamers and content creators. The video capture capabilities and multi-device support offer endless creative possibilities. It is expensive though, but that is probably because I am not utilising its full potential yet; I know there is so much more I can do with this. It’s a top quality device.

Another Incredible Product From AverMedia
I ordered this as I also have the Avermedia GC575 Live Gamer 4K 2.1 PCIe Capture card that I absolutely love.Their products for me at least, exude quality. Their premium asking price is completely justified.Note that you do not need a Steam Deck to take advantage of this product. So long as your device you want to use this with is USB-C capable, such as a Nintendo Switch or your phone and tablet, this will work. You could even use your laptop... This is a USB-C dock at the end of the day.Why I love it - 4K 60Hz passthrough... So I can connect to my desktop or laptop and capture directly into my streaming software, recording software, etc.If you can't passthrough but want to record for later - 4K 30Hz recording to SD card storage. That may not sound impressive, but the filesize and requirements for smooth capture to SD is pretty intense.AVerMedia tout office use - Yeah, sure. Why not.Have your iPad with you that you want to share something to a larger screen with... This will do it.Bottom line. This works as a fantastic docking station, but with AVerMedia's experience and quality tacked on for video capture and passthrough.Definitely recommend.

Expensive Dock
This media deck allows you to stream and record gameplay in ultra high definition, Its well well made, easy to set up and supports multiple devices. However at £200 currently its expensive and aimed at professional streamers and you tubers. This has multiple uses but If you want to record and stream from a single device like a steam deck or switch there are much cheaper options available
