Works well with iPhone 14

Although described as a Mag-Safe charger for iPhones this charger will work with any device that supports wireless charging. That being said, my intended use for it was to charge my wife's iPhone 14, which it was able to do with no problems.The charger is fitted with a USB-C lead, but very helpfully a USB-A adapter is also included in the package so that you can still fit it into older style USBN ports. At 15W it isn't what you would call a fast charger, but it still charges slightly faster than traditional lightning cables, plus it has the advantage of not having to constantly plug in your lightning lead.Another reviewer mentioned that it was very sensitive to positioning and didn't always charge. It's possible that he was trying this on a non mag-safe device as I found that the magnet positioned it correctly on the phone and held it firmly in place.Despite all the positives, there is one very annoying feature which means that the charger will not get as much use as it otherwise would have done. Some bright spark decided that it was a good idea to add a colour changing LED light to the charger - whilst this looks very nice at first, unless you are planning to hold a disco in your bedroom while your phone is charging it is actually extremely annoying as the LED is on constantly and is much too bright. This isn't a toy, its a tool, so why manufacturers think that something like this is helpful is beyond me as it simply spoils what was a very effective charger and means it can't simply be left plugged in waiting for you to use it.It would have received 5 stars but for this feature, and in view of how annoying it is I very nearly deducted 2 stars but relented and just docked one as a compromise.

This MagSafe charger attaches firmly to my phone case and charges my Google pixel 8 without any problem.The cable has a USB-C plug at the end and an adapter is also provided for USB-A. This adapter is not attached to the cable any way and is very likely to get lost. The charging cable is very thin.Really annoyingly, the, charger is permanently illuminated when plugged in with neon lights that are constantly changing colour and swirling. It is therefore continually drawing a (probably very small charge) and this does have the advantage of being able to tell that the charger is plugged in at the other end. For me however, this lighting affect is really irritating. I would certainly not want to leave it plugged in in a bedroom at night!

The cable length is just OK for regular charging needs, not too ling and not too short.The cable is easy to untangle especially for someone like me who can't spend a few minutes tying it before chucking it inside my bag. Having said that, it is robust enough to withstand my lack of organisation inside my handbag.Speed. Charges slower than when I charge mt phone directly via USB C. I tested on my S24 Ultra and is useful when I have to pickup my phone in a hurry.I prefer to slow charge my phone as for some reason, my battery lasts longer than when I fast charge it. I have no clue as to why.I fet a very minimal warming of the magnetic attachment after charging my battery without interruption for two hours but not hot enough to cause alarm.

The media could not be loaded. Reasonably strong magnetic attachment which holds your phone well for charging.The charger has a rotating colourful led lit edge when not in use. On attaching your phone successfully the led’s change to blue showing charging. If that fails the led’s change to red.The instructions refer to a limit of case thickness for charging through the case and my wallet phone cover is clearly just a little too thick, it will start to charge but then fail.A thinner cover or removing the phone from the cover results in successful charging.Attached to an Apple rapid charging usb c power supply results in fast charging.There is an adapter to convert the usb c lead to usb a and using it connected to a standard 5v usb outlet still results in charging, just at the standard rate.Recommended.
