No spring in battery holder
This calculator is crap the batteries won’t fit due to poor workmanship. It’s not worth returning 10$ thrown away

Cheap, generic Casio copy. But it's simple to use and reasonably priced.
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into much more detail, including an overview of the build quality and functionality. However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ For good or for bad, it's a carbon copy of the Casio FX-95MS. obviously. Obviously, it doesn't have the quality of the Casio model and it is a cheap clone (which can be seen from the printing and even the smell as it comes out of the box). However, functionally it is pretty much identical.Things I didn't like:- The build quality and printing are both pretty poor to be honest. However, all the buttons work and functionally, it's okay.Do I recommend it?Yes, but it does depend on the price. This is a totally generic clone of a famous old Casio calculator. As a result, the printing isn't particularly great, and the build quality isn't fabulous either. However, if you think you're going to need a cheap calculator that does all the scientific functions (for example, for our high school pupil), this will do the job. It's easy to use and clearly labelled. In my opinion, Casio have rather dropped the ball here - a cheap Casio branded equivalent is only £13, but they have moved away from the old-school design that had more buttons and fewer shifted functions that made it simpler to use. To get a Casio branded calculator with a similar design to this, it looks like it will cost upwards of £30, which has really opened the door for these cheap generic products that only cost £6-£8.

Poor instructions.
It’s barely passable for a basic scientific calculator as the instruction sheet is inadequate. When I turned on the calculator, there was a “TY” symbol on the left of the screen. I have no idea what this means as it’s not mentioned. The print size is too small to read and there isn’t enough information in it.The display is also not positioned correctly as the very top line that shows the Mode is partially obscured. The battery door is insecure, and the buttons feel very cheap.I’m not impressed.

Easy to use
I ordered this calculator to see how it compared to my normal choice of a Casio FX85GT for our lab technicians. It arrived in a simple cardboard box with some printing on either side. This is nice to see as many calculators arrive in a plastic blister pack so this is reducing plastic usage which is a positive. The unit requires 2 AAA batteries for operation which aren't supplied. No solar power on this unit unlike my FX85GT.The keys are covered with a slide off cover which is similar to the Casio and I find this good as it protects the keys and display from damage and dust ingress when stored or in a bag.The whole thing feels a little on the cheap side as the plastic feels quite thin and overall the weight is quite light when compared to the Casio. This doesn't bode well for durability. The keys are laid out in a standard format with all the usual trig, statistical and engineering functions clearly printed, some functions are accessed with a shift key or 'alpha' key. There's also a mode key for each of the calculation types. There are a few more features than my Casio but nothing earth shattering. The display is a two line style but unlike the Casio it is a little limited. That said it is clear and sharp, well laid out and easy to read.Verdict: A decent attempt to compete with the big names and the low price makes it competitive. The build quality is lacking however in as much as it feels a bit flimsy.Functionality is excellent and would probably be suited up to 'A' Level studies.Working to a budget? This is a contender.
