So I used to like to steep fruits into my water, but really found it to me such a daunting thing to keep up with. I either had to freeze the fruits or just keep going to the store to buy fresh ones. It never occurred to me to try dehydrated fruits so I got these with some high hopes that I can once again steep all natural flavors into my water without all the headache!I typically drink out of a half gallon (64oz) metal water bottle so that's what I'm using personally. I started off with 3 big slices of this. The slices smell so good I almost wanted to eat a few ahead of time, but I stopped myself. The slices immediately sank to the bottom of the bottle and I left them for about 10 minutes although I could already see the water turning pink within 1 minute. After the 10 minutes I shook up the bottle and opened it to see very pink water! I was thinking I might have put too much, but no. As I kind of figured there wasn't much of a detectable flavor in there at all. I also already figured out that these slices will get in the way of the straw and kept me from drinking at first, but I was able to shake the bottle a bit and unblock the straw, but I'm guessing with extra ones in there that's going to be more of an issue. I guess we'll see. I added 3 more big slices and intended on waiting 10 more minutes , but I got distracted and it was probably an hour or two later that I came back to it. At that point the water was pleasantly flavored! I would compare it to the flavor of those hint drinks. It wasn't super strong, but it's definitely there. I think this may be the amount that I will use going forward and that means I'll be able to make about 7 half gallons of water with these. Definitely wish I could get a little more, but I suppose it could have been much worse.Overall I'm happy with this item and I believe I'm going to start looking into dehydrated fruits so I can get back to having naturally flavored water again I do very much miss it!
