It works, its simple to use, and its reasonably priced
This is a really good tool if you have stud walls. It finds studs and electrical wiring behind the plasterboard. I chose this model for the following features, all of which work well:• Separate little lights show the selected scanning mode.• Scanner always scans for electric wires, even in other modes.• Top of scanner is a good shape to guide your pencil mark to record the positions where studs and wires are found.I noted that on this machine the display is black and white rather than back-lit green. Its very clear and I really like it.Calibration >>Calibration is really simple, but you must do it before every scan. Turn on the machine and select the scanning mode by clicking on the mode button (cycle through the options to the one you want). Place the scanner on the wall, click the scan button and wait a second or two for the calibration screen to clear. You are ready to start scanning the wall.Scanning for Studs >Turn on, select stud mode and calibrate the scanner. Move the scanner over the wall. There are felt pads on the back to protect the wall. The indicator arrow column pops up on the display when a stud is near. An arrow at the base of the column shows in which direction to move the scanner to find the centre of the stud. When you move the scanner over the centre of the stud the direction arrow disappears and an upward pointing arrow head is displayed at the top of the column.Scanning for Electrical Wires >>The machine constantly scans for electric wires. At the top right above the display there is a little red light with a thunder flash symbol over it. If this indicator lights up, then there are some electrical wires under the plasterboard near where you are scanning. To find exactly where they are: change the scanning mode to scan for electric wiring, calibrate the scanner, and scan the area again. This time the scanner will show exactly where the wiring is. It will do it the same way it shows where the centre of a stud is.The scanner comes with instructions that go into more detail, but this is most of what you need to know. Conclusion >>This is a very handy tool. It works, its simple to use, and its reasonably priced. It couldn’t be better, so I’m glad I didn’t pay more.

Good, functional, great value
Very happy with this, came with clear instructions and a good feature set for the price. Have used putting up a wall mount in the kitchen and it seemed to give logical results in terms of where wires were around the plug socket. Declared the piece of wall I drilled into to be wire free, which indeed it was. As with any stud detector, results need to be combined with a pinch of common sense, but I'm very happy with it. Came with minimal packaging barring a cardboard box, which pleased both me and the environment

As an ac/stud finder it’s pretty good.
This review is for the stud/ac finder. It’s actually not bad. Once you set it up correctly (and done a few test runs on a wall where you know a cable/stud is) its works fairly well. It is really sensitive and will only give you a rough idea of where a live ac/stud is. Not a definitive result and I wouldn’t rely on this for 100% accuracy. But it worked ok for me and I only needed it to double check on a wall that I was 75% sure had no live cables in. It’s a bit temperamental and really noisy (beeping all the time) but it’s a good size and the price was right.

Perfect
Works d as intended , finds everything first time , feels very sturdy and looks good and pleasing to the eye , it's very lightweight but still feels tough , it's definitely fit for purpose and does exactly what it should

Reliable and Accurate Stud Finder – Best I've Tried So Far
I really like this stud finder—it's easily the most reliable one I've used. I've tried a few other brands before, and they were often hit or miss, either giving false positives or struggling to detect anything consistently. This one, however, works very well. It finds studs accurately and quickly, and I've tested it across different walls with great results. It also detects AC cables reliably, which gives some added peace of mind during drilling or installation work. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, so setup and use were simple right out of the box. It also has a helpful acoustic beep when it detects something, which makes it easier to confirm detection without constantly staring at the screen. It’s a great size—compact, lightweight, and comfortable to hold with one hand. Easy to store, and perfect for quick jobs around the house. The display is decent, but depending on the viewing angle, it can be a bit tricky to read, especially if you're working in a tight or awkward spot. Still, it’s manageable and not a dealbreaker.I haven’t tested it with metal or pipes yet, so I can’t comment on that, but for stud and AC detection, it’s been spot on every time.If you want something reliable, simple, and effective, this is a solid choice.Highly recommended!

I wouldn’t recommend buying this product
This was a waste of money, it’s shockingly pointless, never gives the same reading, I used it to try and find a stud in the wall in which I was going to fit something to and I might as well have threw my money in the bin, at first I got a reading and thought I would double check before starting and then it shown up somewhere else so did it again and then no reading at all then it started showing up all over the place and then nowhere at all again, what a waste, I mean could have got a faulty one, I’m not sure but either way I’m not bothering getting another to find out and I won’t be recommending this product to anyone, my advice is get a proper one as I will be doing, it’s worth paying the extra.I thought I would get this as in some cases with the bigger brands you can find things that do exactly the same thing without the branding... this isn’t one of those cases... stick to the better brands it’s worth the extra cash.In terms of instructions and ease of use... the instructions are very straight forward, easy to understand and the product is easy to use (just a shame about the accuracy, which render this product pointless) that’s the only justification of the one star which is mandatory anyway.
