I recently purchased the VenirCool Hidden Camera Detector, and it has quickly become an essential gadget for my travels. Here’s why:First, the build quality is impressive compact, lightweight, and sturdy enough to endure frequent use. Switching between modes and adjusting sensitivity is seamless, and the added flashlight function is a bonus.The detector offers exceptional value for money. Its 7 in 1 functionality, including wireless detection, infrared scanning, magnetic detection, and more, makes it versatile and reliable for safeguarding privacy in various settings like hotel rooms, cars, and meeting spaces.What truly stood out was that it really works, based on my personal experience. I tested it during a recent trip and discovered a suspicious device in a rented space. The detector’s sensitivity and detection range (up to 32.8 feet) are excellent, and the adjustable levels ensure precise results.If you’re concerned about protecting your privacy while traveling or at home, this device is a must have. I really appreciated the wireless signal detector and the magnet detector. The magnet detector performed excellently, giving both sound and visual alerts when it was close to a magnet. On the other hand, the wireless signal detector was a bit hit or miss in terms of reliability.

Costing just shy of £30.00 when reviewed, this Hidden Camera Detector from VenirCool resembles a USB drive, with some little LED’s that indicate what mode you’re in and whether anything is being detected.It’s all nice and clear and despite the lights being small, there was never a time when I didn’t know what mode I was in.I could only play around with some of the features, purely due to what devices I have available in the home.In each mode I used, the unit did detect what it was deigned to, although don’t expect to just stand in the middle of a room and wave your hand around a few seconds, it’s not quite as simple as that.I tested it with 2 different brands of outdoor CCTV camera and in each case, it identified the IR light being produced by the cameras.It also picked up the wireless signal from my router although the device had to be really close to the router to get a signal and when more than 12” away, nothing was picked up?The feature I actually liked the best (and had the most faith in) was the motion detector, which can be seen working in the attached video.While this boasts of having 7 functions, 2 of them are of little to no real use such as the flashlight (my phone is better) and the SOS distress signal, which I would never use. The magnetic detection also requires a “strong” magnetic presence to be picked up by the device – not sure how strong this presence needs to be though?While this device may be useful in certain situations, I don’t think I’d put my full trust in it to detect everything, especially as the device needs to be in very close proximity to some of the things that produce a signal before that signal is picked up.The device is small enough to be carried in your pocket though, so it could be something you would want to have on you when away from home, just to provide you with a little peace of mind?

I'm always checking the lamps, sockets and anything in between for surveillance devices. If you're travelling a lot for work or pleasure, this device will definitely put your mind at ease. I've successfully been able to pick up infrared light with the camera detector, as well as test the other functions, including magnetic and wireless signal detection.The device also has red light scanning and a flashlight function! So whatever is needed, the detector pretty much has everything to give you that assurance that you aren't being monitored.This is a small, portable and convenient way to ensure your privacy while traveling

In as much as I love this products dimensions, weight, versatility, effectiveness and it’s (not having to fish for batteries) USB-C compliance; there is simply no way it’s motion alarm is ever going to wake me up. If they come, Im a gonna. Though it’s not that this unit doesn’t pack decibels as it manages to emit a stronger SOS sound.

A tiny built-in torch is a helpful extra feature.This device provides a variety of detection features. In my opinion, the most practical one is the hidden camera finder. It helps in locating covert cameras in establishments like hotels etc. The wireless signal detector picks up suspicious signals. The infrared detection is another layer of protection. The red light scanning works well in detecting hidden lenses. Additionally, strong magnetic detection tracks hidden tracking devices.Overall, this is a useful detector for privacy and security.

I usually use my mobile phone to do a bug sweep at hotels but this just makes things easier for people who do not have the know-how to check for cameras and moving data within a hotel or Airbnb.I usefully located a camera within my house as a demo.Easy to use, easy to learn and all the important information is printed on the back of the device.A must for holidaymakers!!4**** product.
