Better than expected!
I like the option to either hold it with one hand while punching with your other hand or you can mount it to the wall and use it that way. The material feels quality made. I found it to be decent and affordable.

Too stiff for punches with any force.
While the construction is decent, I found it to be too stiff/hard, without enough deflection. It is not useful for repeated striking with any amount of force/penetration, which is what I wanted. A floor mounted makiwara deflects 1-2 inches. This only deflects maybe 1/8 inch and feels like hitting a padded block of wood.

As Pictured
The item is exactly as pictured with the same measurements. The wood maybe pine but if it is it is not your standard 2x4 made in to a Makiwara. This is highly sanded and well made. My only complaint is there are no holes to recess the screws when hanging it. It does come with that hardware. However my ziploc bag had 3 of the necessary 4 screws to hang from.The brown material is NOT leather. I know it doesn't say. But it is some synthetic that looks easily replaceable when it does wear out.
