A good all-purpose compact charger for lithium batteries.
A good all-purpose compact charger for lithium batteries. Suitable for both lithium ion and lithium iron phosphate batteries.Good travel charger, maximum current 2A.I would not recommend this charger for those who plan to use it as the main charger for charging NiMH batteries, because for reliable operation of the -dV algorithm you need a charging current of at least 1A. At 500mA as here, the end of charge may not work. As a backup for charging NiMH is good, but not more.

Nice little charger
Would I buy again -yes Charger Liitokala LII-PD2 2 Bay 18650 Battery ChargerI really liked this charger- it charges all forms of rechargeable batteries. I bought it primarily to charge 18650 li-ion batteries but I also have a large number of NiMh and Nicd as well. Identifies batteries quickly. It allows multiple current configurations for Li-ion batteries. Defaults to 500 mAh but permits 2A charging. max- 1 amp each battery or 2A for one with automatic switchover once first battery charged. Must admit it did get a little warm on the 2A setting. Also produced a "plasticy" smell . at that level- At first I thought is was the electronics but I think it was the plastic case degassing at temperature.Holds most batteries but struggled to keep my large "D" cell NiMH in place- they kept popping up. had to put weight on the top to keep the cells down in position. C cells and smaller worked fine. I like the readout that digitally reported how much energy in MAh each cell took and the % charge on each batteryMy Star Rating Scale:5 stars - Perfect, or as close to perfect as possible and would definitely recommend to anyone.4 stars - Works well, but could see some minor changes that could make the product better. Would recommend to others.3 stars - Functional, but areas of concern or major changes that could make the product better. Recommend researching other options. OR, neutral ranking, nothing really special or bad about the product.2 stars - Barely functional, recommend researching other options.1 star - Avoid at all costs!

A Good Quality Battery Charger that Can Charge Many Different Battery Sizes and Types
This Liitokala LII-PD2 2-Bay Battery Charger, with Smart Universal LCD Display and Fast Charge for 1.2V, 3.7V, 3.2V, AA, AAA, 26650, 18650, 18350, 21700, 14500, 20700 Lithium Rechargeable Battery Charger can charge so many different batteries, it's like a Swiss Army Knife of battery chargers. I have a ton of EBL rechargeable batteries of various sizes and this battery charger functionality makes my charging life much easier. The build quality is great and the display gives great information all the way from the beginning until the batteries are charged. It's a great value. So much so, that I'm going to get another one because one is not enough, for me.

What's Not To Like?
This charger is great as it auto detects the batteries and charges them according to type and both sides charge independently. Push a button and it shows you the charge, voltage, and current status and it can be charged at home or in your vehicle. Very useful if you have different types of batteries so it cuts down on the amount of chargers you need. And the price is good considering other chargers that have less capabilities.

Great charger, but manual is wrong about polarity
This is a great all-in-one charger, but there's a serious flaw in the manual regarding polarity. The manual says, "The biggest highlight of this charger is that you can charge the battery regardless of polarity!" I was eager to try this, as this would be the first desktop charger I've seen with that capability. But, it doesn't work that way. Inserting a battery with the correct polarity, positive pointing to the screen, makes the unit operate normally. Inserting a battery backwards, with positive pointing away from the screen, produces "Err" on the screen. The "Err" message seems to be the device's reverse polarity detection kicking in, a valuable safety feature, but that's not the same as being able to "charge the battery regardless of polarity". I would not recommend testing the limits of this safety feature, as it seems like a foolish way to burn your house down. In fact, there are markings molded into the battery slots that show the correct polarity, probably to prevent just such an error.Beyond that, this is an excellent charger. I really like being able to throw almost any variety of lithium or NiMh at it. And, it is super handy to be able to see all the relevant info on the screen at once, in a single glance. Also, unlike some previous models from Liitokala, this unit has the batteries plugging in the "right" way, by pushing against the spring on the negative end of the battery. This seems to be the informal convention on chargers like this, and it never made sense why they'd want to turn this upside down. I also like that the charger can handle flat-top 21700 batteries (even if it doesn't say so on the package). Plus, it'll do 2 amps on slot #2 and another 1 amp on slot #1. The inclusion of a 12 volt car charger is a great bonus, too.

Nice charger
I ordered this charger to charge my 18650 Li-ion batteries. It can also charge a variety of other types and sizes- which is very handy! It autodetects which type of battery you are inserting and will set the charge parameters accordingly. Each of the two banks are independent- meaning you could charge a Li-ion battery in one slot and a NiMH battery in the other slot. It sets the parameters accordingly per slot. You can also manually set the charging current if you like. The options are .5A (which is what it defaults to), 1A, and 2A.The display gives you a good amount of information about the charging status and overall battery status. Another very nice feature is that you can power it either via AC power or DC power- and they include a 12vdc auto power cord- so you can use the charger in your vehicle (for example). The manual gives a good explanation of all of the functions.
