Xacto Carving Tool Set

received my item today .. packing seems a bit old and crumpled.. but aside to that, the items looks clean, not rusted and pretty much usable for craft use (i don't think this would be suitable for those 'hardcore' type of carving?) ...one of the tools came wit the collar dislodged.. not sure if it should be glued back, or just pushed back and expect a tight fit..

Would have been better if they came in some sort of storage case. Some were bent but still seem sturdy. My husband has not tested them out yet.

I bought for carving pumpkins. They require care as any wood working tool would. keep them oilded and they will serve you fine.

Like a previous reviewer said about it being from x-acto. I thought it would be half decent but these chisels are not that sharp at all. I tried to carv and cut into the softest piece of wood I had and it struggled to even dig in. Very disappointing coming from X-acto. I am going to try and sharpen these and hope for the best.

Just as described. Just what the doctor ordered.Packaged well, easy to use. Not commercial grade but good for the price.

Years ago I bought a set of wood carving tools to use for fairly complex and exacting woodcarving/pattern making; I loved the tools. Recently I decided to return to wood carving and decided I wanted a set similar to the old ones I was used to. Save your money and don't buy these. The tools themselves were disappointing, They were obviously very cheaply made and the edge they came with was clearly something I would have to work hours on to get a mediocre edge at best. I love Amazon as I returned these without any hassle. I almost never return anything, but these were junk. My recommendation is to spend a bit more and buy something with quality. These tools will give anyone nothing but trouble.
