I needed a high quality prism reflector for a research project utilizing lasers. This is of exceptional build and the prism is manufactured with fine detail. An excellent product.

before doing any layout, i always test my equipment. but this prism setup can't be tested in the field for plumb. my other mini could have the glass flip vertically 180 and then spin the whole thing horizontal 180 and test it against itself.they didn't think of this, and prolly aren't seasoned surveyors.the prism copper coating was even, the aluminum pole segments sturdy, the threading was true, but i can't just assume that the prism constant is correct, and that the bubble hasn't gotten knocked around to be out of plumb.

This is a small prism reflector with a zero offset return - Its mounted in a plastic frame that allows tilt and rotation and comes with a protective cap for the prism.The pole is in four parts and the bottom section is a specific piece - it accepts the spiked foot but won't connect to another pole piece on that end. The other three pieces then connect by screwing them onto the base piece.The pole is fairly heavy - seems to be solid aluminum sections - and its not very tall even with all four sections but it also fits in small spaces or when you need a low target.The head is quite light but seems sturdy and has a usable circular bubble level on top.This seems like a rather special purpose combination - but it works fine for what it is.
