Amazing!!
I had purchased two of the regular style clothes lines. They were $70 a piece. I was lucky if I got 3 years out of them.I know I just purchased this but I can already tell the quality of this will last. It is quite sturdy easy to put up and hold so much.If you're considering an outdoor clothes dryer, this is the one!

Just as described
This clothes line was easy to put up and seems very sturdy. I think the steel construction is durable yet it is not overly heavy, I could easily hang 4-5 large loads of laundry on it if I wanted to, but the clothes have always dried before I have had that many loads washed! I love the fact that I can just pull it out of the cement base when I mow so I don't have to trim around it! I did not have any trouble with grease as some others had mentioned and the fact that I can turn it as I hang clothes on makes hanging them even easier! I have had to tighten the line quite a few times and this is rather tedious, but I don't know how one would get around that and don't feel that it is a problem specific to this clothes line because I have had other clothes lines in the past that I have had to tighten frequently also. All in all, it has been a great investment and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good clothes line!

Love concept ... Not product
UPDATE in October 2016:Lowering my review to one star (only because I cannot give 0). After using for the summer of 2016, I tried to put it down this weekend so I could bring it inside for storage for the winter. It goes about halfway down and stops. I got a bar of soap and soaped up the pole, that didn't help. In fact, I bent the metal while I was trying to put it down (me with virtually no upper body strength). This is cheaply made and not worth the money. It will go in the garbage and I will buy a "real" clothesline for next year.*************************Bought June 2015, installed March 2016.What works first:- it installed very easily- it is large & it holds a LOT of laundry. Two big loads + a king size set of sheets & 5 pillowcases and there was still room for moreChallenges:- you really need to leave it open all the time. Closing it is easy, but opening is difficult because the lines wrap themselves around the bars as they slide to open. Takes several times to get it right each time I try to open it.- the lines stretch ... Big time. I have had to tighten them significantly 3 times in 3 months. It must be really cheap line. Given the overall unit isn't cheap ... This is a serious shortcoming. Adjusting lines is about. 20 minute effort each time. I suspect at some point I will need to go out and buy new line ... Which will mean I paid a lot of money for a hunk of metal.Photos:1st shows the tightened side (left) va non-tightened and this is in the 3rd tightening in 3 months.2nd shows the length of line that I have tightened ... Basically the line has stretched the entire width of the unit and doesn't show signs of letting up.Won't return it ... The sleeve is cemented into the ground ... But wanted to warn that it is pretty high maintenance.

Great Outdoor line dryer for great price!
For the most part, this is a great outdoor hanging clothes dryer. I bought mine in June 2011 (For $62.90) and three years later it is still going strong.Ours did get bent a little in center from one time when my daughter overloaded it on one side and it tipped over but despite being a little crooked now it still works fine. You have to make sure you are adding clothes on both sides evenly (no matter amount of clothes) or it can tip over. Also, sometimes in strong winds it has fallen over a couple of times. It would be nice if the center, main part was thicker but for the price, it is very decent and quite sturdy. And it would be nice if the lines didn't get so loose and need re-tightening every so often. The distance between the lines is fine and clothes still dries evenly, however if I don't have a lot of clothes to dry, I do skip lines.I like how you can close it when not in use. All in all, a great buy and a good price. I would buy again if I needed to. Line drying helps your clothes last longer, the sun is also a natural sanitizer, and you save money on your gas and electric bill. Plus, clothes dried in the sun feel and smell so fresh!

1950's Homemaker - uh yeah!
I'll take it - this is great. But caution - USE A LEVEL - my contractor put it in while working on other projects as a favor for me. I sighted it, dug the hole and showed him. He put the concrete in... well lo' and behold, I'm sitting on my patio enjoying the view and I see it's lopsided! Well, lesson learned. It said to use a level, but to no fault of his - I didn't mention that as I was busy multi-tasking and never imagined it would be noticeably crooked! At first, I didn't like the way the lines were strung because they're looped. Some hung lower than others, some were taut.... but it makes sense. This little lady was loaded up with 5 duvet covers, 10 pillow shams and it managed to freely swing with the breeze. Nothing fell off. It was great. You can really pack clothes on here and the rotating character allows it to give with the wind to where stuff isn't brutally flapping and flying off the line. I kept checking it, but it really worked. The looped lines allow more flexibility - another unexpected advantage! I've left it up, haven't taken it down, but like the option for future lawn parties and when I have company over. I get so many comments on it - mostly reminiscent of our grandmothers' and their yards. I love it - plus there is nothing like sun-dried linens. Even after weeks in the linen closet, you pull out a towel and it has sunshine in it. I hate using dryers (top 3 reasons for house fires!). So it's great to hang items up and leave your home while they dry without a worry.
