Woody bits and smells slightly mouldy.
Has a lot of woody bits and smells slightly mouldy, as though it has got damp before drying. I would not recommend this product even though it says organic, there are better non organic mulleins out there.

Very dry, and full of thick woody stems.
Makes a dusty tea even when made in a herbal strainer, and even when then also poured through an extra strainer. Not good to vapourise, far too dry.Package was paper with plastic lining, was not resealable, just an open top bag.Have had to decant into jars and needed to add bread to allow some moisture to be reintroduced to the leaves.Very coarsely ground, which wouldn’t matter if it didn’t mean the inclusion of large twigs of unusable material. Some are nearly an inch long, and very thick and chunky.Disappointing.Edit:Having spoken to other more experienced herb buyers, chopping up the stalks and other woody bits instead of just using the leaves, which is what the description suggests, makes it cheaper for them because it basically dilutes the leaves.I’m told this isn’t a good practice on the part of the seller. It definitely works as a tea, but it’s absolutely full of hard bits, woody stalks, and other parts that are NOT just the leaves.I’m annoyed, because I had set up a subscription for this, and have just bought their nettle leaf tea too.If that turns up full of rock-hard woody pieces, I will be requesting a return and refund.Just be aware that mullein leaves should NOT also have stalks etc added in. It’s just a cheap way to make up the weight.I’m even more disappointed now!Biro in photo for perspective. Those weren’t the longest bits I got, I had thought it was maybe normal, so I binned them. I just pulled these out of my mullein container.
