CARBOU Skin Barrier Wipes

The Carbou Skin Barrier Wipes come in a box of 100 individually wrapped wipes. These wipes are good to use on people who have sensitive skin or who are elderly. The wipes aid in the removal of adhesive and help hold on to adhesive when bandages or other appliances are used. Clean up is easy with soap and water.

I was tired of the discomfort I would feel removing a bandage or bandaid. This provides a barrier between the skin and the adhesive on the bandage. So removing is pretty painless. I also like this product because it prevents blood from oozing out from under the bandage - acts as a second layer to protect the skin.

These work fine for adding extra stickiness to the skin before attaching something to your skin like an insulin pump or continuous blood glucose monitor. I'm happy with it. You open, wipe on, let it dry, and then apply the sticky appliance. It is meant to make already sticky things stick better. It won't hold things on by itself. It isn't as sticky as skin-tac, more like iv-prep wipes.

These prep pads make any sort of adhesion so much more effective. It doesn't matter if you're making your attachment for an insulin pump canula more secure, or just making certain your CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) sensor stays put.
