We have five indoor-only cats and I have asthma, so we are always concerned with the quality of the air in our home. This GermGuardian Air Purifier helps me rest easy, knowing it is taking care of all of us. The purifier was easy to set up and the controls are clear. It fits easily in any room of the house and is also easy to move if you want to relocate it. The five different speeds allow you to control the noise level.

Has convenient shut off feature, and the germ killing feature is what’s up. Definitely would get more for the other parts of my house

I have had a couple different air purifiers and I never keep up with them. The reason is because I never notice any difference with them running, other than some noise and excess power usage. So, I decided to try one more, because this one is supposed to work for a larger area. The design is better than most smaller purifiers which are usually short but bulky so they take up space that I don't have to spare. Finally a taller more narrow design, easy to put in any corner , taking up very little space. That was another reason this one interested me, but does it work? In the past I haven't noticed a big difference in air quality, however i see a difference with this one. The air feels cleaner, any smells (from the dog) or cooking are non-existent where you feel the difference in the air. The AC even feels colder. I recommend this to anyone with dogs, allergies, children.... You will notice a difference!

This is my second air purifier. They are great. I could notice the difference in the air quality the first day. We have a dog and sometimes the air isn’t as fresh as I like. After leaving this run all day, the air was noticeably fresher.I like that it is slender and doesn’t have a big footprint. My older one is a bigger square shape. It also works well, but takes up more space.

I like that this air purifier doesn't take up much floor space, the narrow tall profile is better than another one I have. Its very quiet on the slow speed, but gets progressively louder on each step above. I've got it in our bedroom so run it slow at night and fast during the day. It doesn't move much air on slow. I don't know how much a UV light adds to killing virus, but on the slow speed there should be quite a bit of exposure time.When the UV light is running there is an obnoxious blue light that makes it impossible to use when sleeping. I'm very sensitive to light, and any blue light in the bedroom makes it impossible to sleep. I don't use the UV at night. Likewise the control panel is blue LED's which are too bright for me. My other air purifier allows you to turn off all lights which is preferable. I cover the control panel on this one with a small book. The top is flat enough it stays.I looked and the air filters are available on Amazon, as is the UV lamp.All in all this is an OK filter. Better than my other one if you want the UV lamp, and its compact.
