I remember when I first learned to polish through sanding and for those who are yet to discover this phenomenon it is entirely possible to polish to a highly reflective surface or mirror like finish with nothing more then a little water and these papers. I do this often with wood and various resins. There are several short cuts that you can take to achieve the look and finish you want. You don't always need to sand down to 3,000gtWith wood finishing I tend to stop around 800gt and finish with a nice oil or lacquer. Its at this point as long as you have been thorough with your sanding there should be no imperfections showing through. if there is you'll simply have to start again.Same with resin however I tend to go the full 3,000gt to get a really nice shine to the resin, anything transparent I would stop around the 1,000 to 1,500gt and then finish with a range of grit polishing pastes.Wet sanding is a fantastic technique to finish your project and these papers are fantastic

A good selection of grits from course to very smooth. I soaked one in some water and it didn't dissolve. The size is just right for me to wrap around my sanding block reasonably priced and overall good.
