Good, will recommend
I recently used the Kenley Carpet Protection Film during a home renovation, and it exceeded my expectations. The self-adhesive backing made it easy to apply, even on stairs, and it stayed securely in place without slipping. The heavy-duty material is truly puncture- and water-resistant, providing excellent protection against dirt, paint, and debris. At 18” x 200’, the roll covered a large area, making it cost-effective as well. Cleanup was a breeze—no residue left behind. Highly recommend for anyone needing reliable carpet protection!

Excellent product
Very great product. Used on carpet to protect from pets urine. This plastic film is very sturdy. The cats have clawed at it and it has not ripped. I have vacuumed and mopped over it and it is still going strong.

Protects my large Karastan area rug.
My senior dogs have “accidents.” I decided after they ruined a pricey rug, I would get another one and put this plastic over it. My husband and I get the entire rug covered and it protects the rug from doggy messes. We replace the high traffic areas about every month. Still have to wipe the occasional dog mess, but at least it is not getting absorbed into the expensive rug.I have already re-ordered.

Works well, but can be hard to install
The plastic film is thick and durable. The adhesive is a bit too strong and once the two sticky sides come in contact, the sheath is done for.I wish the adhesive was a bit less sticky to allow easier installation and adjustment as necessary. It can be difficult to install in a tight place( narrow hallway) especially if installed by a single person. For a small are, but narrower sheets and over lap as needed.

ANY DOUBTS ABOUT THIS PURCHASE? READ MY REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After reading the mixed reviews on this product, I was a bit leery in making a purchase. I'm certainly glad that I went against my gut and took a leap. It should be said that I have NEVER used a carpet protector before. This is the BEST carpet protector that you will ever buy, hands down!!!!!! No one wears shoes in my house for any reason, but my boyfriend was moving-in with me and he didn't feel it was safe for the movers to have to take their shoes off, when carrying in large/ heavy pieces of furniture into the house. I relented, however, I was NOT going to have people walking all through my 3-level town-home with pristine ivory carpet with their wet & dirty shoes...oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that it snowed on our moving day, so all the "movers feet" were nice, dirty and wet.My first thought in purchasing this...what size should I get? Well, I decided to go with the 36 x 200 and I'm so happy that I did! My staircases are standard size, so, the 24-inch wide option just wasn't going to be wide enough to fully protect my 2 carpeted staircases and landings. Yes, there was some leftover at each side, but no big deal and nothing to cause a hazard.Installation: It was an absolute breeze, but you MUST HAVE 2 people (one person couldn't do it alone)...you need, one to hold the roll and one on the floor to place it and to smooth it down. I started at my front door, went up 13 stairs to a landing, across the landing into the living room (a good 20 feet long)...we also made a path into the kitchen (I have "faux wood" floors), we made a wide path through the living room (doubled it up across the living room), up 2 stairs to another landing, up an addition 13 stairs to another landing, through a small hallway, and 8 feet into the master bedroom. All of this took us approximately 15 minutes.Staying power: we put the cover down 2 days before the move and had NO issues with it lifting. There was a lot of foot traffic going over it and I didn't have any issues with a tear, or the product shifting from where it was originally placed. How much did we use? Once the product was put down, we still had...estimating here, about 1/4 roll leftover. We didn't use the entire roll.Clean-up: someone mentioned they spent forever, trying to get it up off of their floor. They said that it came-up in little pieces...not us! We pulled it up the same night of our move, so it had been down and walked on for 3 full days. It's a really strong product (which is why you'd want to buy it). It came up with absolutely NO issues! I had it on carpet and on my faux wood kitchen floor, it wanted to stay down, but with a little muscle, it came right up...all in one piece! As mentioned, over and over...don't hesitate to purchase this product to protect your carpet. It's my "go-to" now and will use it again for painting, moving etc.

If applied to new carpet you will replace the carpet
This stuff is the worst thing you could ever use on brand new carpet. It cost me $1,090.24 to have Home Depot replace the carpet that they had installed the day before I applied this horrible product on it. After a two week bath remodel, the film could not be removed without it tearing into pieces and pulling out pieces of the carpet. I had to turn up the heat in the house to get the rest off, and it was a very slow, very hard process. In the end, there was adhesive residue everywhere the film had been. The homeowner said that her socks were sticking to the floor, and after I tried to remove the adhesive with a gallon of Goof-Off heavily applied with a spray bottle it would not come off. I had a steam cleaning business try to remove the adhesive with no success. The dust and dirt from walking on it would instantly show where the adhesive was. I contacted the company that made the film, and they said to use denatured alcohol to remove it. I saturated the area with alcohol and scrubbed it with an old bath towel under a block of wood. It improved it a little, but it would not remove it all. After that, another steam cleaning company tried to remove it and could not. Finally, I had to schedule Home Depot replace the brand new carpet in the master bedroom and the hallway to preserve my reputation with my clients. This stuff is very sticky, is difficult to apply and to remove, and absolutely will leave an adhesive residue on new carpet even though the product description says it will not. It absolutely will, and it will ruin the carpet. You can't remove all of the adhesive when you've applied about 80 ft. of it on brand new carpet.Do this instead...buy 1/8" sheets of masonite from Home Depot, rip it to 24" widths x 8 ft long and lay it on the floor. Use duct tape at the seams, and you will have no problems. Ram Board works also. A final suggestion is to lay down a 4ft wide cloth type painters drop cloth down everywhere you need to walk. Over carpet on a wood subfloor you can just nail right through the carpet to hold it in place. When you're done, pull the nails roll up the drop cloths for next time.Do anything but use this film. Do you think the company will pay for the damage? Not a chance. If I'm wrong, the company can contact me and I'll send them the invoice I had to pay to Home Depot.
