I finally got around to changing the water softener media ...
I finally got around to changing the water softener media today. Have an eight inch x 42 in tank.I have a test kit and my water is 34 grains hard. before changing the media it would only getdown to 10 grains right after regenerating. I now have 1 grain or less hardness.New life inan old water softener.

Fine print disclosure said that item may not be as advertised. It wasn’t. US product substituted by foreign manufactured

Product does NOT originate in the United States
Listing states "Country of Origin: United States". When I received it, the package says "Made in India" in nice bold letters. Also, the package instructions say to rinse the product with about a zillion gallons of deionized water before using. Thankfully Amazon honored my request to return the package.
