The belt is flexible and comfortable. There is indeed scientific data backing the claim that red light therapy can lessen pain and help with healing. The problem is that pain relief is subjective and doesn't lend itself to being quantified. That said, if you feel better, you win. I "feel" like my pain issues are eased a bit with this, but again, that's hard to truly quantify. Whether this works for you will depend a lot on the source and intensity of your pain. At the current price of $60, it's economical enough to give it a try, especially if you are struggling to find pain relief elsewhere.

My issue is in my lower lumbar area and since the belt isn't flexible it doesn't reach the specific area. The solution was to open it up and lay on it.

I love this Red light therapy belt,it works so good! It really helped in freeing up upper back shoulders and neck noticeably so. To use it in this flexible form has been really convenient.
