It is what it is however if you're like me and needed solid solder for stainless steel so you can use a separate flux with it. This wire is THICK and hard to apply the correct amount to a project even after running it through a wire die to bring it down to 1.7mm thickness (can't go lower it snaps when you try to pull it after that) The other thing is this is NOT 2mm it started off at 2.2mm.That being said, if you just need a ton of solder on a joint for some reason and are using your own flux or no flux for some odd reason this is the stuff. <.<

This is a very thin spool of solder. I thought I could use it for stained glass, but it's not thick enough. But it will definitely come in handy since it works really well on jewelry and electronic repairs. Great consistency for detail work.
