Monoprice 2 Conductor Speaker Wire - CL2 Rated, 99.9% Oxygen-Free Pure Bare Copper, 12AWG, 50 Feet, White - Access Series

When I bought my first entry-level audiophile speakers, I knew I needed some reasonably good wire to maximize the sound quality and power delivery, but there were so many options -- many expensive -- that sounded suspiciously like snake oil. Electrons are pretty simple little spheres and don't even move through the tube that fast, only the signal and energy moves quickly. The wire is just a tube, that's it. I just needed a wide enough tube to deliver the energy wave with enough shielding to avoid random electromagnetic interference from the cable jungle in the nexus behind the AVR, as well as separating the left and right channels from crosstalk. And it needed to be flexible and well-made, no kinks or or splits.I discussed it with the audiophile store I bought my speakers and they suggested this wire for my front speakers since the signal only had to go less than 10 feet, so 12 AWG was plenty for my 110W setup. I cut this up into a piece for left, right and center channels and capped it with some GLS Audio Black Chrome banana plugs.The result? Great sound with no interference, easy install of banana plugs, and robust kink proof electron tubage for my three front speakers. Why pay a fortune for some premade Monsterly expensive cable when there's Monoprice? They also make an incredibly robust, thick, shielded headphone extension cable for a great price if you're on the lookout for that as well. I have been exceedingly happy with all my Monoprice purchases.

Works great!

This is a very good speaker wire. 12ga of many fine strands means low loss and good flexibility. It is loosly twisted inside a jacket to help reduce inductance (more BASS friendly). Combine this with Monosaudio spade plugs (shown in picture) and AmazonBasics Speaker Connector Banana Plugs on the Amplifier end and you will have a nice set of quality audiophile speaker cables that will also look great.

I've been using Monoprice speaker wire for years and never have I had an issue.It sounds great. 12 gauge has low enough resistance to run for 100m or more without signal loss.It is in-wall rated and pulls smoothly through walls and conduit.It is easy to finish and connect to speaker terminals.It's priced less than "look at me" glamour speaker cables.

I could not find gauge 12 flexible paired wires in white wrapping anywhere; only in black I could find at home depot (recommended for garden lighting for instance).I wanted something white to ride along whitish wall boards and light color carpeting, without necessarily having to have a wire track (and to reduce overall cost of wiring), yet, of gauge 12 size; this did the job perfectly and a good price !The only drawback perhaps, is, when it comes to the final stretch through a speaker stand post, it would end up too big a diameter and not matching the typical black color; which I did finish up using a section of home depot black wires.

I attempt the cheap route by buying “12 gauge” speaker wire from another brand. Upon receive it I returned immediately and bought these wires instead. This wire is night and day compare to the other wires. It is thick and very well made. This is the wire to get.
