Good tool to have when repairing watches

Sometimes you simply get what you pay for.And $14.00 gets you nothing.They lenses are about as cheap as you can get, and cannot be adjusted (for astig) or focal point, or depth of field. Out of the box, you cannot achieve stereoscopic magnification because the focal distance is shorter than the distance a normal person could cross thier eyes. I think the fixed focus is about 3 cm from the front of the lenses, and the depth of field is maybe 1 cm. It's really funny that someone would sell this and actually take people's money. I don't believe that I have ever used to word "junk" in the years I have been purchasing from Amazon, but this item hits all the criteria, mainly being of no use at all, and destined for either a thrift store or the dump.The claim of using it to work on watches: In whose world does a fine jeweler work on objects that are virtually touching thier face?The only way to adjust the magnification would be to pull the lenses out, then shove them in backward, glue them, and then put them on to aplanate your cornea.But enough of the negativity and bad-mouthing, I would like to end on a good note. Two very nice features:The LEDs are very nice.If you were to wear them to a house party, you would be remembered.Caveat emptor and gratitude for Amazon's excellent return policies.

well I bought these to examine coins and they will work for that but not all that great. they have no adjustments for magnification - and they only work when you hold the coin about 4-6 inches from your face. I have not figured out how to adjust distance between your eyes even though they are supposed to be adjustable. they are very inexpensive for a reason. I cant recommend these unless you might be working on something you can get your face on top of,

For how cheap they are, they make great use in my shop and just to have fun with. A bit uncomfortable but i think it passable for the cost.

My evaluation is it's cheaply made, cumbersome..

These glasses are comfortable to wear, but what i like most is the lighting. I do a lot of up close repairs, electronic soldering, jewelry work, etc. This item not only allows me to see what I'm looking at and gives me light to see i greater detail whatever I'm doing.

Unfortunately at this level of magnification the lenses are too far apart (even with the adjustment feature) to alliw both eyes to focus on what is being viewed. The lenses come into focus at approximately 1cm (with the lower 8x lenses) and even closer when the 15x lenses are added. The result is two separate images that cannot be adjusted to allow both eyes to focus at the same point. You are essentially buying glasses with two monacle lenses that require you to close one eye to see the magnified image. I was hoping to use these for miniature painting. Oh well.

I am 20/200 vision in only 1 eye. Works out to what you see at 20 feet, I see at 2 feet. My special bubble lens glasses cost $400 and are not covered by my insurance. Sooo, I figured for $13 and change I could try these glasses out.They work great for me. I am so relieved that I have a backup reading system. I spend a lot of time on the phone enjoying email and various crossword puzzles. I am going to be ordering the small inner lenses so I can get 15x and 23x for those pesky labels and contracts.You can get the light exactly where you want it, and at the intensity you want.. These things are totally adjustible. Just need a small screw driver. I am so happy.
