The Gentleman`s Reaper
An amazing knife that instantly became part of my EDC.This knife could be classified as an unassisted flipper. It has a very overt blade in an elegant body. The edge stays sharp for a very long time and because of the shape, I get more use out of the tip than in other knives. if you are looking for a longer knife, don’t worry, the form and function here will not leave you wanting. Most people just say "wow" whenever I use this thing. Admittedly, the opening mechanism requires a bit of finesse to open easily, but to me that is only part of learning to use a knife. It has a very solid build and is thinner than many knives in its class. In many ways it disappears when you do not need it. If you carry a knife in the front pocket of your pants, you might almost forget that you have this one. If you are buying this for self defense purposes, I would advise against it unless you are a trained professional, also the relatively thin handle would start to wear on your ungloved hand. If you are planning on fighting, you might be looking for more than a pocketknife. The clip feels pretty sturdy, been carrying this around for a year with no issues to speak of.I playfully nicknamed it The Gentleman`s Reaper because of it’s wicked looking blade and it’s thin, covert body. This knife is amazing enough that I am considering purchasing another in case this gets lost or they stop manufacturing this model.

Love all kershaw knives, this one is no different. Awesome quality
I cant say enoug good things about this knife. Its stylish, and the quality is unsurpassed for the pricepoint. I am slowly building an awesome kershaw knife collection. The knife blade design is very unique. This is actually the largest kershaw that I have. It feels very good in the hand. The assisted opening works very smoothly.

Great ergonomics, solid value for price point.
This is my first Kershaw and I am not disappointed. This is a case where one is getting a product exactly as described.Though the scales are kind of slippy, the shape locks into the hand, in hammer, saber and even reverse grip.Going into this purchase, I knew the scales were weighty, I knew the blade material was 8cr13MoV.The scales are solid with no milling so that impacts the weight but keeps the cost down. Same kind of thing with the blade steel, being inexpensive to use. 8cr13MoV will lose an edge faster than higher end steels; it's also much easier to sharpen back to a razor state than many other blade steels. The Deadline being a wharncliffe, is extremely easy to sharpen on any system. After three weeks of use, I have no blade play in any direction. The fit and finish is very good and even the busy lines on the scales have grown on me.My complaints are twofold. One comes from the need to position my fingers in such a way as to not put pressure on the lock plate when trying to deploy the blade. I say try because the hybrid frame / liner lock depresses against the blade, slowing or completely stopping deployment. For me, this is minor as my natural grip while deploying doesn't put much pressure on the lock plate. This could be an issue for those with sausage fingers or otherwise giant hands.Secondly, I do wish the blade wasn't PVD coated. It's already showing useage streaks from cutting common materials like cardboard and packing tape.I give the Kershaw Deadline a solid 4. It's worth the money if you're looking for a wharncliffe at this price range.

Best Small Folder I've Obtained Thus Far...
I already love Kershaw knives, besides being here in Oregon and having a great warranty on everything they sell - this little folder is a nice size, good design and appears sturdy for its expected duties. The straight blade holds its edge longer than expected and is very easy to fine hone to very sharp. For me, it gets light duty as perfect tool for cutting up veg, fruit and meats out on the trail as well as super quick taped box and plastic bagged item opener - not much more than that - very pleased with yet another Kershaw product!

This is a high quality steel knife.
Clip could be stronger, but this knife is nice and holds a great edge.

Great budget EDC knife
As a collector and user of knives, I love this Kershaw, certainly one of my absoute favorites from this company. Skinny handle with thinnish blade, love a modified wharncliffe/reverse tanto style blade. No belly to the blade which keeps the tip down, great for boxes definitely. My go to gift knife for a first time knife for friends or family. Usually can find them quite budget friendly and sits in the pocket very well, and I believe not an intimidating knife to pull out of the pocket. Flipper tab is perfect for this knife, it is a very snappy action. Can't say enough good things about this knife

I like the feel of this knife
It not the best knife but holds up very well. I do wish the blade was made of better steel. The shape of the blade is what I what I like the most.
