The ice pellets are great. Makes ice fast and within a couple hours a full bin. Pretty quiet compared to other ice makers I have owned.

Remember to read what you are getting. This produces little pieces of ice that are chewable. Sort of like crushed ice, but not crushed but rather small pieces. It's not big cubes! The unit doesn't take up much space, but I kept it near my sink because when you drain the unit, the drain in at the bottom and having the sink there is easy. Anyway, this is very simple to use. There is nothing to really set up. It says to leave it standing there for 2 hrs before using. Then after cleaning the unit, you just pour water to the max fill line, and then turn it on. The opening in the front is the only opening you have - so you will pour water into the opening and might be challenging depending what you are using to pour because at some point your pitcher might not be able to tilt anymore down due the angle. It recommends using distilled water to prevent mineral build up, which you'll end up having to descale like a coffee maker if it builds up. After you turn it on you will start getting ice within 10 mins or less - slowly. THe ice is indeed small pieces and also chewable if need be. It comes with a scoop to coup out some ice which you might need a lot of if you want to cool off a big mug. The machine keeps generating ice until the tray if "full" - and I say "full" beacuse it will start to create a mini mountain of ice and then trigger the maching to stop making ice when the tray is not full at all but rather just peaking in the middle. You'll have to shake the tray to level it off. The ice tastes as good as your water, and the machine isn't really that loud - you hear a fan running, but it's not whisper quiet. There is also a convenient light since it's dark in the opening. Anyway, it did it's job, but a few things - because there isn't a way to pop out a water resevoir, you have to "wash" it by sticking your hand into the opening with a towel. You can't submerge the machine, and if you have a big hand, it might be hard to get it all in there to wash/wipe. The draining hole is convenient, but I would have appreciated it to be angled toward the front edge to make it easier to drain. The mini mountain issue is a bit unavoidable. Ice comes out in one area, and the ice will pool to build a mountain which will then make it stop. You'll have a good amount of ice by then but still worth nothing. Placing this near the sink might not be a good idea because there are vent holes on both sides of the machine and you can see exposed wiring in there. You don't need to be splashing water in there. The clean function really just rinses it out which is nice, but won't prevent scaling since that depends on the water you use. The unit is not light, but not really heavy either and it seems pretty durable. It's decent and does it's job.

It works fine. It’s just the ice capacity is so little. I can’t even fill up a solo cup and it’s empty.

I believe this was a used machine. The cord was rewrapped incorrectly and did not fit in the box correctly, causing the top of the shipping box to bulge. The plastic ice bin had water stains on it. Super loud and grinding noise when I first turned it on. Most likely it was returned by the original purchaser for this reason. The machine was much smaller than expected and the ice bin barely holds any ice. Not even a full cup at a time. Can’t tell you how much I love returning things to Amazon- they make it so easy - not - grrrr.

Absolutely wonderful. One of the better nugget making ice machines on the market. Replica of hospital ice. Barely any noise. Produces a sandwich bag amount of ice in 45 minutes. Great investment. Get the warranty protection for future piece of mind.

If you’re a fan of chewy nugget ice, this machine absolutely delivers. The ice is exactly what you'd hope for—soft, crunchy, and satisfying. Capacity is reasonable for everyday use, though probably not enough for a large party.My only real complaint is that the water reservoir is a bit tricky to clean thoroughly. It’s not a big deal, just something to be aware of.For the price, it’s a solid value and great for nugget ice lovers.

It makes nugget ice quickly and it’s super quiet. My son loves the light feature.
